RGCC Update - We are moving in to fall soon and things will start getting a busier at the training arena. Just a reminder to book your private, instructor and event times online by following this link:

We now have covered runs at the boarding kennel so that we can offer more outdoor time and protection for those freshly groomed dogs in mildly inclement weather.

This fall we will be removing fencing between two of our pastures so that in the spring we can offer a full size field for lure coursing.

Rolling Gait features a 80 x 200 ft training arena with sand footing, four pet fenced outdoor agility rings big enough for trials, pet fenced sprinters lane, coursing ability field, boarding/daycare and grooming.

We would like to announce 6 half day clinics with Teri O'Neill at Rolling Gait Canine Centre on Fri-Sat-Sun Aug 2-3-4.
These clinics are for dogs learning sequence jumps and tunnels, up to dogs proficient on full courses.

We have a few spots open for both the International/Masters coursework which runs in the mornings from 9 am-12:30 pm and Young Dogs which will run in the afternoons from 2-5:30 pm.

Cost per session is $255.
Auditors are welcome to attend and cost per session is $45.
There will be a light lunch provided and you are encouraged to stay after the morning class and come early to the afternoon class to chat and connect.

Teri O'Neill is one of Canada’s top handlers and Coach of the IFCS Canadian Team. She is a skilled clinician with an exact eye, and is known for bringing the best out of each team.

RGCC Dog of the Day. July 16th we had Kissable K9’s here for a teeth cleaning day. Our own Match had her teeth cleaned that day along with over 20 dogs. If you are interested in another day please let us know. Very impressed with their compassion and work.

RGCC UPDATE - the new doors are in at the back. We have some steel ordered to finish up the exterior and some clean up yet to do but inside is now pet safe. Feel free to open the Dutch doors to allow more airflow. You can now access outside North agility area through the back man door.

We added more storage shelves and pockets at the back and along the side so things are much tidier and out of the way. Please help keep things picked up after your rental times.

We have added a second entrance to the stands and moved the table into the stand so we have space and power for secretary duties at trials and matches.

Moving ahead we will be putting a small tower up so than we can see the entire sprinters course and operate the lure safely. Lure machine has been ordered and is in the process of being built. Hopefully shipping will be next week.

Training Tip Thursday

Let's call it exposure...
Dog Owners are concerned about ensuring their dog is well socialized but what is actual socialization?

Socialization is neutrality!

This means not getting so excited they cannot follow simple directions, or so scared they are trying to hide or reactive.

Take your dog places and have them just relax beside you and take in the environment. Exposure helps develop neutrality.
