Farm Fair 2k24 is coming up very quickly. Rabbits are now all tattooed, and ready to go.💕

95% of the rabbits being shown under Lunar Moon this show are produced by me and I couldn’t be any prouder of how far I have come. I am extremely excited to see everyone, and watch my hard work on the tables. It was a tough road here, but I pulled through the last 5 years.🩷

Well, Cull day arrived but then it came time to the last boy which was my favourite boy out of the two and I starred at him LONG and HARD. I found myself carrying him back to the Shop, and hop into a pen.😬
I did not really want another Dutch, but looks like he’s staying. I own a Dutch again. Damnn you being cute.✨
Now, he needs a name.🤭🖤

I have lots to do before winter hits.🐰✨

• Dutch will no longer be a breed on this Acreage. I have 4 Dutch I would be willing to let go for FREE for the right fit. 2 Does, 2 Bucks for a NEW breeder or 4-H kids wanting to get into Showing & try.
🛑NO LONGER AVAILABLE.🛑

• New Zealand Reds will be a breed I will have around, but I won’t be pushing much with it. The kids, and John will be mainly focusing on it. I will be downsizing 95% of the litter I do have right now. I will be keeping 2 growouts for them to work with. If you want anything for a Meat Program ONLY, now is the time to speak up as I am planning a trip to the City soon to get rid of everything I do not need.

• All mismarked Rhinelanders will also be leaving. No sense in growing them out, and with Winter coming- I am only wanting to hold back what can be Shown. None as up for grabs, so do not ask.

• Tans are all sorted through. Tattooing will be the next step before Farm Fair along with other growouts who need tattooed. I have no Tans available as of right now.👌🏼

• Last but not least. One more litter of Rhinelanders is due September 29th, 2024. A nestbox will be going in tomorrow.🤭
PLUS, 4 arrivals will be arriving in approximately a month, and a bit. Lunar Moon will be strictly working on 3 Running Breeds, and I am very satisfied with finally finding what kind of breeds are for ME.😊

Too many scams come out of nowhere CONSTANTLY and I am fed up with it. They are getting really annoying. In the last week, I have had 8 messages asking the questions above. I refuse to reply to these types of messages now.

If you are truely interested in rabbits, or a conversation leading towards adopting a rabbit, please send the following instead:

• Hi, I am searching for a pet rabbit for our home… then add whatever information you think I should know. I will ask a few questions before we move further such as “What breed are you thinking of wanting? Do you have experience with rabbits? Have you done your research in the breeds that caught your eye? What kind of set up would you be providing? Do you prefer a buck or a doe? And do you plan in fixing your rabbit?” So I can insure to provide the best rabbit that will suit your lifestyle, and needs/wants.😊

• Hello, I am searching for a rabbit to show, or add to my program, or I am looking to start with a new breed and I am looking for a trio or two pairs… then add more information that may be useful for me to help you and understand you more. Questions will also be asked about your plans with the breed you are inquiring about.😊

The Lilacs are off to BC to join a new Rabbitry.👀

I looked over the Lilacs when I loaded them up to send with transport and.. Oooo. These girls are.. Wow. Bellima is looking FIRE.🔥 Petal is looking good too. Ooo man.😍

I really hope to see them succeed and do well in their new barn!👀
Because these are some gorgeous Does to start with, and Solo is a Grand Champion, and Convention winner so let’s hope they keep producing duplicates or better than themselves. Petal is also Solo’s Sister so, it’s great to see the results when you invest in great stock. I forgot to take photos of the boys but Bolt is also looking great and growing in the right direction, and Solo well, he’s an old boy and produces great kits from previous litters he’s had!😊🩷

I’ll miss them, but I’m on another level when it comes to rabbits.😂

New Zealand Reds.🔥

Yep. They have fallen on my lap. I have looked into NZR before, but I couldn’t see it happening. I did try other varieties but they weren’t really my cup of tea tbh. Reds on the other hand- they hit different.😊

So far, I am loving their colour and furr. The size litter is intimidating but Rhinelanders can have up to 10-15 kits so I mean.😂

Anyway, I was offered these 2 girls. One has a litter of 9, and are 8 weeks old. The other girl was supposed to be pregnant but I am giving her a bit longer since she just went through a move 5 days before her due date. So we sha’ll see.😊

I have also quickly looked over a few growing kits a few days ago, and for 7 weeks at the time. I see a couple promising kits. I plan to look everyone over again at 9-10 weeks, and see who is maturing better than others and start downsizing come 12-14 weeks!👀 2D is definitely my #1 right now for the Does.

Looked over the girls also. Mama with kits is finally seperated, and is on the road to gaining her condition back which she still looks very good still. Mama who is “due” is also looking good! I will need to find 2 good bucks for them soon enough.😊

Thank you Mikaila at Clover Creek Acres for the opportunity to try these guys out. They will be a learning curve for sure, but I am determined to do so and learn even if they are a side breed to learn with, so far I like them.🩷

I caught this little fluff ball outside of the nest today. I swear Rhinelanders grow quicker than any other breeds I have had. Babies usually take a bit to leave the nest like this, and then here’s these guys- Exploring already!😂

They are now 2 weeks.🥲🩷

Rhinelanders are finally gaining their furr. I see a lot of promising Rhines Marking wise- let’s hope the quality is there too like their Mom.😮‍💨😊❤️

Time to also try and breed Poppy to Bumblebee again this week.🫣 Fingers Crossed this time it works.

🍒FINALLY! I have been blessed with my VERY FIRST litter of Rhinelanders under my Rabbitry.🥲

As everyone knows, Anise, is my Show Winning Rhinelander Doe who did so well on the table and kicked ass. I held back a lot with breeding her due to wanting to get her Show Career ahead and I can finally Grand her so I went ahead and bred her.😊

She has given me 10 kits on August 17, 2024, but one passed in the nesting box.🍒 They are already gaining their beautiful colours, and I am REALLY REALLY hoping she has produced 1-2 Duplicates of herself so I am super excited to see them grow.🥰

So much excitement in my barn. Absolutely LOVE this breed already, and I feel they’ll stick around like my Tans! I was meant for these beautiful breeds. These breeds are ME.🍒
Seeing my barn grow, and my own production doing so well- I am so excited to keep moving ahead and keep impressing myself and improving my favourite breeds.❤️

🍒🍒 Selling out of Lilacs.🍒🍒

I have been on the fence since getting into them, as everyone knows me well for my beautiful Arched and Running Breeds. So trying a compact breed in the mix was different for me. I kept pushing forward even with the doubts I had. Events have happened that made this quick decision I have made happen as quickly as my brain processed it and said it. They’re a very cute breed, and a very nice breed and I did enjoy them but they sadly did not “WOW” me like my Arched breeds did. They will be going to BC to work with another breeder.😊

That being said. My time with them was short, but I enjoyed them around.😁

The Tans and Rhinelanders will stick around and I am still madly in love with those breeds. If things go as planned later this year- A breed I loved so very much will be making a come back. So we sha’ll see where this road takes me.🩷

Bear Scares are good to have too. A Bear quietly snuck into our Camp Spot last month, and luckily a friends dog alarmed us. He didn’t really threaten but the Bear Scares, scared him away keeping us safe. As you never know, the situation could of switched real quick.

Our FIRST litter of Lilacs was born. She had 10 little kids, but when I checked today after giving her a few days- there is only 9. A runt must of not made it.🤷🏻‍♀️
So far, I am actually kind of liking them. I was still in the fence about them, and wanted to try them since Lilac has always been a favourite variety. I bred one Doe only as a trial, and so far they’re quite nice.😊. I love their temperment, and I do enjoy them. I may pass them along to John so I get to still enjoy them around, but we shall see how it goes come Farm Fair.🩷
