January is walk your dog month! Right when we are more likely to not walk them as much. 🥶

How do you celebrate?

1. Change your routine

After a period of you and your pup walking the same route, it can start to feel boring. Change up your path a little to create more excitement!

2. Treat your dog to a brightly colored new leash or a fancy water bottle to take on their walk. These little things make a difference. Your pup will enjoy the attention!

Adding in treats is a bonus

3. Teach your dog some new tricks

Teaching them some new tricks is an opportunity for you to not only spend some time together but to burn off energy as well. This is a great way for you and your pup to get some exercise.

Enjoy the snowy scenery and bundle up with sweaters and booties when needed! ☃️🧣

🧬 Medical Monday : Type 2 Diabetes 🧬
Type 2 Diabetes is frequently seen in our feline patients, and is commonly known as Adult Onset or Insulin Independent Diabetes. This type of diabetes occurs when the pancreas is making insulin, but not making enough to meet the needs of the tissues. Unfortunately, if there is damage to the pancreas, cats can develop Type 1 diabetes.
