October is Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) Month and this week is our week to celebrate and appreciate RVTs! Trans Canada Pet Clinic is very lucky to have Kayla on staff as an RVT and we want to give her the shout out she deserves!

Do you know how much RVTs do behind the scences? They wear many hats and have unique skills that allow us to provide efficient, compassionate and specialized care to our patients! We wouldn't be able to do what we do at TCPC without Kayla and appreciate her dedication and passion for her job!

Please help us to recognize and thank Kayla for all she does!

UPDATE: After spending a week with us, Bella found the perfect new home! She is settling in well and has another senior dog for company. She is very loved and spoiled and we couldn't be happier for her! Thanks for everyone's interest and help in finding Bella's new family!

Bella came into our care this week and we are trying to help her find a loving home!

She is an 11.5 year old Weimaraner and is up to date on her vaccines. She is very loving and enjoys our company! We don't know much about her yet, so we are unsure how she is around other dogs and cats. As far as we know, she was the only dog in her previous home.

She would love to be with a quiet family who is prepared to help her through her senior years and will bring her along on all of their outings and adventures.

The team at Trans Canada Pet Clinic has some exciting news to share!

Most of you know Kayla who has been with TCPC for almost 6 years. She has been working hard for the last 3 years and recently completed her studies in the Veterinary Techology Program at Thompson Rivers University. Last week, she wrote and passed her licensing exam which brings her one huge step closer to her designation as a Registered Veterinary Technician!

We are incredibly proud of Kayla and her accomplishments and are extremely lucky to have her on our team at Trans Canada Pet Clinic! Please help us to congradulate her on this amazing milestone!

Did you know that Trans Canada Pet Clinic offers large animal services? In order to provide these services, extended travel is often required. We are fortunate to have the opportunity to participate with the Dryden Agircultural Veterinary Unit (DAVU) that helps to off-set travel costs for participating members.

If you have horses or other farm animals and are in the area, you should consider participating with the DAVU. If you have any questions about membership and benefits, we are happy to speak with you! We also encourage you to attend the DAVU's AGM which is happening on March 6th at 7:00pm at the Oxdrift Hall. Dr. Habinski will be there to discuss the benefits of preventative dental care in horses and to showcase some of our equipment and services.
