Unfortunately, Rebecca has caught the same bug her daughter had, so she’s out of commission for now. 🐴The winter wonderland is beautiful, and we’d take snow over rain and mud any day… but our herd is eating through hay like it’s going out of style! With colder temperatures, our rescue horses need extra hay to stay warm and healthy.
🚛 More hay is arriving tomorrow, bringing our hay bill back up to $1,690.
🧵 Plus, we just got 9 blankets repaired to keep our seniors and hard-keepers cozy—$341.75 owed.

Thankfully, the amazing Glynnis at Island Horse Blanket Repairs & Cleaning donated one of the toughest repairs—saving us $86! 🙏
✨Blanket cleaning and repairs are a huge part of making our rescue more sustainable. Replacing these blankets would have cost over $1,500, but thanks to repairs, we can keep them in use!

Hi, I’m Wendy!
I’ve been volunteering with Humanity for Horses Foundation for the past 3 years. Along with being a mom and business owner, my passion is horses! My focus at the rescue is on fundraising and making the rescue more sustainable.
