My initial review of the Keratex Mud Shield Powder…

I really like that is a dry powder and helps dry out the hair and skin. While the mud still gets on the leg while outside, it’s easy to clean off and less sticky. It also creates a breathable barrier and has disinfectant properties which is really cool. It’s easy to apply, just puff a little onto the leg and gently brush into the coat. I will continue having this in my grooming tool kit for mud season every spring and fall. Kate.

Have you tried Back on Track products for yourself? You can literally feel the effects when you first start using these products a with a tingly sensation. Keratex Mud Shield Powder is a highly-acclaimed, easy-to-use powder which you puff onto horse’s legs for a cleansing and waterproofing action. Particularly useful for horses which are prone to scabs and broken skin in wet and muddy conditions. It is this softening effect of continual water saturation which allows mud particles to enter the pores of the skin and cause irritation, which can then lead to further complications.

In addition to waterproofing the hide, Keratex Mud Shield Powder also contains a powerful disinfectant to maintain the skin in a healthy condition.
