Not horse’s but an important part of the Whitchurch Family.
Meet Ray and Cheddar! 🐾 Ray, our tuxedo adventurer, loves to explore but always finds his way back to us. Cheddar, our champagne cuddlebug, took a little time to warm up but now showers us with love (on her terms, of course). Both are expert snack thieves and absolute treasures! 🐈‍⬛🐈

We also have a new friend hanging around—meet Ghost! 👻🐾 He’s a little white stray who’s keeping his distance for now, but we’re hopeful he’ll warm up to us soon. 💕

Meet the dynamic duo, Elliott and Cali! 🐴❤️

Elliott is a 22-year-old chestnut roan Quarter Horse with a heart as big as his lack of personal space. Megan and Erin have been his proud owner since he was 3, and together they’ve conquered the A circuit for many years. Now, Elliott enjoys his days being sweet, cuddly, and as affectionate as a puppy.

Cali, 14-year-old Dutch Warmblood pinto, brings a delightful mix of sweetness and spice. She made it clear after one show that the spotlight wasn’t for her. Cali isn’t shy about voicing her opinions and keeps us on our toes with her spirited personality.

These two are inseparable and share a bond that’s truly special. Whether grazing in the pasture or napping in the barn, Elliott and Cali are happiest when they’re together.

🌟 Meet Rosie & Sasha 🌟

We’re thrilled to introduce two of our beautiful chestnut boarders, Rosie and Sasha! These two aren’t part of the lesson program, but they bring plenty of personality to the farm.

🐴 Rosie (owned by Dianne O’Brien): This cuddly mare is the queen of barn mischief! She’s known for her love of attention and her uncanny ability to knock over the wheelbarrow when no one’s looking.

🐴 Sasha (owned by Catherine Glynn): Sweet but a little skittish, Sasha charms us all with her gentle spirit. However, she’s not a fan of Indy, and she’s never shy about letting him know!

These two have stolen our hearts and keep life at the barn lively and entertaining.🧡

📸 Meet Marbles, the queen of the barn and our resident gentle giant! 🐴💛 This sweet yet stubborn palomino paint mare has a heart of gold and a mane with a natural wave that’s pure magic.✨

Marbles is the perfect partner for beginners—patient, kind, and always there to support her rider. She’s part of the barn’s ultimate girl squad with her best friends Jackie and Anna, but she’s not afraid to set boundaries with Max (she tolerates him… most of the time). 😅

Her western pleasure skills are top-notch, but don’t let that fool you—Marbles can absolutely shine in an English saddle, showing off her flat work and even some jumping! And did we mention her love for our costume class? She’s the ultimate costume queen, rocking every look with grace and a touch of sass. 👑✨

Oh, and those eyes? Just as mesmerizing as her name suggests. 🌀💖 Around here, we also call her “Marble Moo”—because who wouldn’t have a cute nickname for such a lovable mare?

🌟 Meet Jolene 🌟

Our sweetest new addition arrived this past summer, and we couldn’t be more in love! Jolene is the youngest horse in our barn and has already stolen our hearts with her cuddly nature and gentle spirit. Yes, we’ve been singing Jolene since she arrived. 🎶

We’re slowly building her confidence with strong riders and helping her adjust to all the bustling noises around the arena. She’s learning and growing every day, and we’re so proud of her progress!

Welcome to the family, Jolene. You’re already unforgettable. 💕

This little bay mare has stolen our hearts since she arrived in 2021. Sweet, cuddly, and incredibly patient, Jackie is the perfect partner for beginners and beyond. 💕

She’s as smart as they come—knowing exactly where to turn, circle, or trot down the quarter line, even when her rider gets distracted. She’s also got a knack for knowing when the lesson is over… and she’ll let you know! 😄

A great listener for both rider and instructor, Jackie is truly one of a kind. Oh, and have you seen her face? Absolutely stunning. 🥰

Meet the one and only Dallas Superstar! 🌟 This beautiful Paint mare has been with us since the summer of 2022, and we honestly couldn’t run the program without her. 🐴

At around 20 years young, Dallas is a rockstar for beginner jumpers and those learning to canter. With shoes on, she’s a horse, but without them? She’s a pony! 💫 She’s the perfect blend of experience and heart, and she’s loved by everyone who gets the chance to ride her.

Here’s to many more years of learning and growing with our superstar! 🦄❤️

Meet Max, our golden guy who’s been with us since 2018! This 19-year-old palomino came to us as a summer camp horse and quickly became a favorite. Trained in western riding, Max has the smoothest canter you’ll ever feel. 💛

When winter rolls around, he turns into a fluffy cloud of joy, but he’s always ready for his annual trim (he lives for it!). Max is a bit of a snack king, and he’ll tolerate all the cuddles—as long as they don’t interfere with his snack time.

12 Days of Horses - Day 3: Meet Anna (aka Anna Banana), our sweet chestnut mare who’s been with us since 2021! When she first arrived, she was a bit on the chunky side, but she’s slimmed down beautifully since then. A favorite among beginners, Anna’s easy-going trot makes her a joy to ride—but don’t be fooled, she’ll definitely let you know if you’re not quite getting it right! One thing’s for sure: she never halts on a straight line. Always keeping us on our toes!

12 Days of Horses - Day 2
Meet Indy, our big-hearted Paint with a past that only makes him stronger! 💖 When Indy first arrived at our farm, he was in rough shape—skinny, nearly blind, and with burns covering his face that made it impossible for him to eat. But with the love and care from our amazing vet, Vicki, Indy not only got his sight back but also healed in ways we never imagined.

Now 18 years old, Indy has become an incredible school horse and has even shown at entry-level dressage! His sweet personality and unique blue eyes make him unforgettable. And while he may be a little “distracted” at times (he’s not the sharpest tool in the shed 😉), he’s always ready to give his best.

We’re so grateful for this warrior, and we couldn’t be prouder of how far he’s come. 💙

Last week, we said goodbye to Benji and Tigger. Their playful spirits and gentle hearts brought so much joy, love, and countless unforgettable moments to our lives.

Benji (A.K.A Ben, Benjamin, Benjamin Button III) was an amazing Appaloosa and a unicorn among school horses. He helped so many riders build their confidence at home in our arena, as well as in the show ring. He was safe and reliable and would always let you know when he wanted more snacks.

Tigger (A.K.A Tiggerton, Tigger-Bear, Tigs) was the sweetest cuddle bug around. He loved attention and long grooms. Tigger had some anxiety while under saddle and loved a confident rider to help him show off his potential.

Both boys enjoyed the last couple years of retirement (Tigs) and Semi-retirement (Ben) at Whitchurch with endless hay, haycubes and green grass.

Though our hearts are heavy, we know the grass is green on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge.
Run wild sweet boys. 🕊️
