What a view for supper at Blair’s West at the Sask tour. Thanks so much to all the organizers, sponsors and hospitality from the wonderful hosts! Quinn, Tell and I had a wonderful couple days away touring some great cattle and fellowship with other angus enthusiasts. Can’t always seem to sneak away for these great events but sure is nice when a person can. Few good stories to add to the bank for future tack box conversations as well down the road!

Kurt & the boys hit the 3 Cities Fair for the pen & halter show on Saturday.
Trigg placed 3rd with his bred heifer & our pen of 3 bred heifers was Reserve.

The dust has settled after the sale, the shop is back to housing tractors & we’ve had a day to catch our breaths!
What a great day we had! Was so overwhelming seeing the shop packed full of people.
Thank you to each and every person that came in person or logged in online to watch, those that sent texts & messages, means a lot to us to have the support. Thank you to all the bidders & buyers; we are looking forward to delivering the bulls, always great to catch up with past buyers & get to know new ones.

The Youngdale Jullian and Stevenson Turning Point sire groups provide a nice calving ease option for the heifer pen. Both Sires have been used here multiple years and proven to calve easy with low birth weights; yet they have ample growth to follow that up. We bought in on Brooking Emerald 9179 at the Rose bowl. His progeny have been creating quite a stir at the fall shows and sales. They have lots of performance, presence and thickness. Our first offering of Emerald offspring are up for offer on March 6th.

We also have reds!
Highlighted, of course, by the 2022 Farmfair Reserve Champion Red Duralta Fortress 82H sire group. When we stepped into the red side of the angus breed we went on the hunt for a bull to build from. Fortress has done just that! Headlining the offering is Red Pedersen Laser 215L!
A bull we most certainly would use ourselves if he wasn’t so tightly bred to the majority of our herd. There is a lot to like about this stud! Sells March 6th at the Ranch north of Edgerton. Please reach out if we can be of any assistance or better yet come for a tour.

This year will feature a few new sire groups that we are extremely excited about! These two K Lazy T Bravo sons lead the way in a very consistent group. The Bravo sons are full of shape and muscle and that masculine, wide muzzled, skull we appreciate. These two happen to be out of flush sisters, as well, to further the level of consistency. The Bravo sire group are extremely docile and easy to handle as well. March 6th 1pm at the ranch North of Edgerton. Feel free to come tour anytime. We would love to tour you through our offering!

We have a handful of Merit Kingsman calves again this year & they continue to be top of the pen. Tell FINALLY got to tie his calf up today & what a chunk of a calf he is already (Look at that b***y!) Kingsman x Mardi cow family was a great breeding decision that Tell made 👌🏼

Happy (Belated)New Year!!! Calving is in full swing, the girls were kind enough to take a break from having babies yesterday in the the wind & snow. The maternity ward is back into full swing this morning! New arrivals include Emerald & Copenhagen heifers. 🎶it’s the most wonderful time of the year…🎶

Last but most definitely not least of our Northern Select offering. This Rise daughter is a real sweetheart both to handle and look at! The Pride cow family has been responsible for high sellers in our bull sale as well as this very sale. Juniors don’t forget about the incentives available to you in this great sale as well. This heifer could be a fun one to drag around. The way her neck comes out of her shoulder and how extended she is, has that presence that is needed to compete in the ring these days.

Well the dust has settled after a 2 week show run. Stockade Roundup in Lloyd & Farmfair International are in the books for another year! Huge thanks to the organizing committees, the volunteers & the sponsors that make these shows the successes they are!!!
Pedersen Boni Gal 235L was Reserve Black Angus in Stockade Lady & in the Ultimate Legends Show, Grand Champion owned heifer calf in the Sask Jr Angus Show, 1st in her senior heifer class splint in the UFA Jr Futurity.
Together with her mom, Pedersen Boni Gal 28G, they were Grand champion owned Female in the Sask Jr Angus Show, Reserve Champion Mature pair in the UFA Jr futurity and stood 3rd in the mature cow class at Stockade & Farmfair.
Pedersen Excalibur 326L was Reserve Champion Intermediate Heifer Calf in Lloyd & 3rd in class at Farmfair.
K Lazy T Bravo 12’21 made many friends at both shows and attracted much attention.
Thanks to all the fantastic crews we stalled and worked with the past few weeks; Avelyn Angus, McGowan Farms, Brooke Family Farm.

Our Lot 6 bred heifer in the 45th Northern Select is your opportunity to grab ahold of a direct daughter of Boni Gal 28G. Quinn has had quite a summer/fall exhibiting 28G as a pair with a maternal sister to this bred heifer along side, they have found a lot of friends along the way. This female follows suit with the same strong traits and functionality. Bred to a new exciting calving ease sire we purchased this spring from the good folks at Eastondale angus. Endurance 47’22 is a sound footed smooth made sure that we are quite excited about. Check out her video in the link below!

One of the most exciting sire groups we have worked with. Bravo’s service and offspring will also highlight the upcoming Macnab Angus dispersal. We are now starting the count down to the 45th annual Northern Select Sale. Please make plans to attend this wonderful event of Angus fellowship. The open house and social is Friday Nov 17th followed by the Sale at 1pm Saturday the 18th.
