We recently got an amazing update on Quartz, one of our AARCS alumni! 😻

She came into our shelter quite shy and fearful, but now that she has moved into her furever home she is becoming more confident! She is coming out of her shell more and more every day. ❤️‍🩹

It is always amazing to see our animals, living happy lives in their furever homes! 🏡 And it warms our hearts to see our alumni slowly learning to trust and love again. 🥰

Our second annual Ales for Animals event was a success! 🍻 We were able to raise over $4,500 for the animals in our care! 🙀

A very big thank you to Arcadia, Leduc Brewing Company, and Campio Brewing Co. for bringing the beer, K4TGR4M for the amazing live music, and BIG Waynes MINI Treats for the delicious snacks! 🙏 We couldn’t have done this event with all of you!

And we are so grateful for everyone that bought tickets and attended the event! Sad you missed out? We are hoping to do this again next year! 💚

We currently have over 12 adoptable animals at North Haven, including this sweet girl. She can be a tad shy and really loves to nap in her hidey hut but once she warms up, she loves attention! 🥰

Many of our animals at the shelter are available for same day adoption! 🙀 This means you can come to North Haven, meet our animals, fill out an adoption application, and take an animal home… all in a days work! ⏰

Stop by and meet our adoptable cats and critters during our walk in hours! 💚

HUGE shoutout to Pet Planet Fort Saskatchewan for their incredible generosity! 🚐💚 They donated a VAN FULL of dog and cat food this week, and we couldn't be more grateful! 🙏 With the colder weather settling in and an increase in calls for help, keeping bellies full is more important than ever, and Pet Planet have been absolute heroes in making that happen. 🐾

We wanted to extend a very big THANK YOU to Lisa and Ryder from Play 107! 🙏

After the recent theft at our shelter, they set up a fundraiser where Lisa was locked in a kennel to raise money for the animals in our care! They surpassed their goal and raised over $8,900! 🙀

Thank you so much to everyone who donated! 🫶 The outpouring of support and love from the community this past week has been amazing, and we are so grateful for everyone’s donations and support! 💚

Davie recently came into our shelter, with a few other cats. He is settling in, and loving all the attention and treats he gets from our volunteers! 😻

Without all of our amazing volunteers, the animals at our shelter wouldn’t get the individual time, attention, and love that they deserve. 🥰 Sometimes our volunteers spending an extra half an hour with a shy animal can make a world of difference. ❤️‍🩹

Alejandro is enjoying his tummy scratches! 🥰 This cutie patootie came into our shelter with some pretty bad lice. 🩺 But, lucky for him we were able to help him out and get his lice treated. His skin is still a bit itchy, so he has been enjoying his daily brushes from our volunteers! ❤️‍🩹 Are you wondering how you can support animals just like Alejandro? We want to say a very big THANK YOU to Edmonton Police Service Recruit Team 160! 🙏 They partnered with us for their recent ‘Push Ups for Puppies’ fundraiser! 💪 For every $1 donated, their team did two push ups! Frost was honoured to be a part of their event and enjoyed all the snuggles he received! 😍 In total they raised $1,313 for the animals in our care — which means they did over 2,000 push ups! 🙀 We are very grateful for their support and dedication! 💚 #AARCS #PushUpsforPuppies #Fundraiser
