I hope everyone is having a good summer so far. Just want to let people know I will be taking time off the first 2 weeks of September, so I encourage everyone to book for August. I'm almost fully booked the last week of August but still have spots between now and then. I will be back working September 17th (though I'm pretty booked up the first week I'm back already). Also I won't be booking anymore new clients until after I'm back from my time off.

I want to wish everyone a safe and happy holiday season. This has been an amazing year for me again and I look forward to all that 2022 holds. I hope everyone is have a great summer so far. I am unfortunately unable to book any more new clients for the remainder of the summer as Im going to be trying to book some time off to see family and I want to make sure I can groom my repeat customers in a relatively timely manner. That being said if I have groomed your dog before and you want me to groom them this summer I would recommend contacting me asap to get a spot. I am currently booking into August right now.

I hope everyone is staying cool during our heatwave. Just an update of my policy for when the mandatory mask wearing comes into effect on Aug.1. All pick ups and drop offs are done through my garage (which is essentially an outdoor space) so masks will not be necessary. However because my payment terminal isnt always able to connect while in the garage (it is able to connect most of the time but not all). If you DON'T want to have to wear a mask while paying I will still be able to accept cash or etransfer. Puppy grooms are an important part of puppy socialization. Giving puppies relaxed/stress free early experiences at the groomer sets them up for a lifetime of positive grooms. I dont go for perfection for puppies, it is more about giving them a chance to experience everything that goes into a groom in a relaxed environment... they already look cute no matter what ❤❤❤ I can groom puppies as long as they have had their second shots from the vet (rabies is not needed for puppies that are still too young). I usually suggest getting a puppy in for a first bath and tidy up (so just face feet and sani trim) by the time they are 3 months old. But I can groom puppies of all ages.

I am still open. I have changed a few things to maintain a minimum 6 ft distance between me and my human clients. I pick up and return dogs in my garage using a longline system. This also helps to keep physical contact with surfaces to a minimum. I am also limiting the numbers of dogs so I can do a clean inbetween. All dogs go directly into the tub for a bath to minimize any virus on the fur being transfered. I also wear a mask for the entire groom. It isnt one of the good ones that are in short supply but I feel it keeps my breath off the dogs fur and also keeps me from touching my face with my hands. If you are a new client I can email you the forms that need to be read and filled out and you can either email them back to me or bring them back and I will take them and sanitize them. Payment can be done by e-transfer or with a payment machine. I hope everyone is staying safe during these difficult times. We must work together to make sure everyone is safe and our pets are recieving the care they need. So I strongly suggest getting a "quarantine cut" like Wall-E is sporting from last summer. That way you can extend the time between grooms.
Going through the spring shed is going to be hard for pet owners. I hope everyone has some brushes at home. Seems like a shutdown of grooming salons might be inevitable. I am still taking a limited number of dogs until I am told I have to close. I offer curbside drop off and pick up. I accept e transfers and I can email out the forms that need filling out and signing if youve never been here before. I hope everyone is staying healthy.
Just an update on the current situation. I am still taking appointments. All appointments are for one dog at a time and I schedule the appointments so there is no overlap. I will be wiping down all serfaces like indoor doornobs, stair banister and payment terminal inbetween clients. If people want to take their dogs leashes with them while their dog is here they can. Otherwise I will keep the leash and collar/harness in a ziplock bag (please no bulky harnesses or jackets). If anyone has any concerns about bringing their dog in please let me know and I will try to accomodate your concerns. If you feel you need to cancel your appointment there will be no fees from me. Everyones health and safety is much more important.

Yoshi came in for just a bath and tidy up today. It's a great option when the weather is cold if you want your pup to see but don't want them trimmed. All it is is a bath and brush to make sure the coat is tangle free and then face, feet and f***y are trimmed up. The only requirement is their coat needs to be in good shape with no big mats.

If you see these little hitchikers on your dog a trip to the vet is what you need. Dog lice are species specific so they wont feed on you but they are very transferable to other dogs.
