URGENT: Help Us Find Moe 🐾

Yesterday, Moe, a 1.5-year-old Australian Cattledog mix, unfortunately escaped from one of our outdoor pens and bolted from our property. We're doing everything we can to bring him back, but we need your help.

Moe was last seen in the industrial area north of the Edmonton Humane Society on 137 Avenue, near 170 Street and the Anthony Henday overpass.

Moe is very shy and fearful, and we want to ensure his comfort and well-being when he’s found. Please do not approach or try to catch him, as this could frighten him further. Instead, if you spot him, contact us immediately at 780-491-3509 with his location and any details of the sighting. We’ll send someone he is familiar with and trusts to bring him back safely.

Our partners at the Animal Care & Control Centre - Edmonton are also helping us keep a lookout for Moe.

Sharing this post will help us spread the word and bring Moe back safely. Thank you for your help 🙏💖

Mac’s Adoption Story 🐾❤️

When Lennea first met Mac (formerly Jay), he was a dog in need of a fresh start. Recovering from eye surgery and struggling with allergy symptoms, Mac was wary of people. But within minutes, he began to warm up to Lennea, and a few hours later, she knew he was the one 🐾

Fast forward to today, and Mac is thriving in his happy home, living his best life as Lennea’s devoted companion. This lovable Rottweiler cross is equal parts goofy and affectionate. His bedtime antics—whipping around in circles on the bed and enjoying a satisfying back-scratch, complete with his signature “Rottie purr”—never fail to bring a smile 🐕💤

Lennea, a retiree, loves spending her days with Mac by her side. From daily walks to off-leash adventures, Mac’s favorite thing is being close to his person. And honestly, could life get any better for a dog and his human best friend?

Mac’s story is a beautiful reminder that the right match can transform lives 😍

Mabel’s Adoption Story ❤️🐾

From shoulder kisses to happy purrs, Mabel (formerly Nutella) knew exactly how to steal Catherine and Edward’s hearts ❤️ When they came for a meet-and-greet, Mabel wasted no time showing them she was ready for her next adventure. “We asked Mabel if she wanted to come home with us,” Catherine shared, “and she jumped on my shoulder to give me kisses.” That’s what we call sealing the deal!

Now living her best life, Mabel is a constant purr machine with the fluffiest paws and a love for playtime. Her favorite game? Delivering her plushy snake toy so her humans can toss it for her to catch mid-air. (We’re pretty sure Mabel would dominate the plush toy Olympics 🏅)

This happy, snuggly tabby proves that the right match can bring endless joy—for both pets and their people.

Here’s to Mabel, the shoulder-jumping, toy-catching queen of her home 😻✨

Help make the holidays brighter for animals in need 🎄🏠

Many of our regular fosters are taking a well-deserved break this holiday season, and we could use your support to ensure every animal in our care has the attention and love they need during this busy time.

By joining the EHS Foster Program, you can give an adoptable animal a temporary home for the holidays. Whether it’s a big dog, a shy cat or a small critter, fostering provides these pets with the chance to grow, heal and prepare for adoption.

We’ll provide everything you need—supplies, support and plenty of gratitude! All you need is a little time, space and a lot of love.

Ready to be a holiday hero? Join our foster volunteer program today and help bridge the gap between shelter life and a loving home 💕

The Need is Urgent – Your Support Matters! 🐾

Each holiday season, we rely on gifts sent by mail to help care for our shelter animals. Between November 15 and December 31, we typically receive over $287,000 by mail. With the postal delays over the past month, we've lost valuable support, and our animals are depending on you to help fill this gap.

With 70% of our funding coming from generous supporters like you, these gifts are critical to providing the medical care, food and shelter our animals need. Your gift today ensures we can continue to provide the care our animals deserve.

If you're able to, please consider giving to animals in need this holiday season 🎁 We also appreciate you sharing this urgent need with your family and friends. Together, we can make a difference!

Eleanor’s Adoption Story 🐾❤️

Sometimes, it only takes a moment to know you've found "the one." For Tayler and their family, that moment came in March 2024 when Eleanor, a sweet spaniel cross, bounded into their lives.

"When they brought Eleanor into the room, both of our jaws dropped in 'aw'," Tayler shared. "She was so small and stole our hearts right away. We knew we were adding a new family member the second we saw her."

Since that magical day, Eleanor has been spreading joy and kisses wherever she goes. With her wagging tail and friendly nature, this happy pup makes fast friends with everyone she meets. And when she’s not charming the neighbourhood, you’ll find her cuddled up with her family or playing with her growing collection of toys.

“She loves cuddling and playing, but mostly, she just loves being around her family,” Tayler said. “We are so lucky to have our little Eleanor!”

It’s stories like Eleanor’s that remind us of the incredible bonds that form when pets find their people 🐾💜
