Jenga found
With careful and quiet and slow work, Jenga was found with the help of her foster human, Penelope the dog she used to live with - her foster family and her adoptive mom put in countless hours trying to find her. They did all the hard work and they did it with such care and respect for a frightened dog.
Penelope, the dog found her asleep in a tree line covered in snow huddled in a ball .
And the humans did everything right not making noise, moving slowly and not spooking her.

neonates
Tangerine (tuxedo) and Clementine (fluffy torbie) have been spayed and will be accepting applications very soon. Tangerine came into care with very swollen back legs, thankfully there was no infection and she survived. It went away for quite awhile but it seems to have come back. Its less swollen now and the vet thought it may just be a circulation issue. She may completely grow out of it once she is full grown but it may be something that happens from time to time. It doesnt really slow her down much though!
Ursula
It may be Monday but to Ursula its purrsday, like every day. She may be a bit shy initially but once settled in, you couldn't ask for a more loving cat. This sweet girl is just sensitive, and it's not her fault, she has what is known as Feline hyperthesia but medication that costs only $30 a month helps with that. She is best as the only pet (maybe ok with calm very cat friendly dog) and is scared of young kids. Older respectful kids may be ok. Her adoption fee is by donation. Please share so we can find this girl her forever home. She is currently being fostered with JD and neither like cats lol.
Snickerdoodle
Snickerdoodle is one very sweet boy. He may be a bit shy at first, but once settled in he is a massive love bug. He would probably be afraid of dogs and kids unfortunately. but he is fine with other very cat friendly cats who leave him be. Honestly though, he would be more thrilled to be the only cat. He truly becomes quite the cuddle bug when it's just him. Not entirely a lap cat but he loves to sleep beside you on the couch and you must want a cat who wants to sleep with you at night. This boy will run to the bedroom to sleep on the bed with you any chance he gets. Unlike most cats, he loves having his belly rubbed. His adoption fee is whatever you wish to donate!
Milo Ventimiglia
If you wondered how milo is doing, he is doing quite well! Unfortunately he has many issues that we believe is due to genetics. Xrays were clean and bloodwork was done and overall he is healthy besides the severe URI which he is being treated for. He does however have a large overbite, curved nose, deformed roof of his mouth, gait issues and difficulty jumping. He also has old ulcer on the one eye which affects some eyesight. But as you can see, it doesnt at all affect his demeanor. He is the sweetest boy ever! He is 6 years old and he just melts your heart. This handsome boy is still fighting a URI but once he's ready for adoption, we know someone is going to fall madly in love with this boy. If you would like to sponsor this handsome boy, please let us know. Or you can donate towards his rather vet bill at [email protected].

orphan kitten
This is Tangerine. She’s a two and a half week old neonate whose mama went outside and never came back. Tangerine went over 24 hours without eating before coming into rescue, but, thankfully, was still pretty energetic.
However, Tangerine absolutely did NOT want to drink from a bottle, which is not uncommon with the orphaned babies. It took another twelve hours with her foster mama doing bottle feedings every two hours, trying every bottle feeding trick she knew, before Tangerine actually took her first drink from the bottle.
Forty eight hours later, she is slowly getting the hang of latching, but as you can see from this video, she’s still fighting it because neonates do not instinctively know how to drink from a bottle. While some babies learn quickly, others can take much longer, and it requires time and patience with every feeding. Especially since you have to be very careful they don’t aspirate the formula.
Fostering orphaned neonates is rewarding, but it’s also one of the more challenging and demanding volunteer jobs. Their care is quite specialized, and they are incredibly fragile and have a high mortality rate. While Tangerine is truly adorable, it isn’t fair that she has to struggle so much with something as simple as eating. And she’s one of the lucky ones who was taken into rescue before she died of starvation and dehydration. Spaying and neutering your cats will help prevent more babies like Tangerine from needlessly suffering.
