Pixel Parkdale | Male | House Panther (DSH) |

Rescue Story:
My siblings and I were found as strays, most likely born on the streets as we were quite shy. But we are now ready for adoption!

Date of Birth: August 1, 2024 (est)

Energy Level: High

Size (adult): High

Adoption Fee: $225 for me or $325 for a sibling and I.

Good with Dogs? Unknown
Never met one, so I am not sure how I would be.
Good with Cats? Must have a cat friend
I must be adopted to a home with a young cat or with a sibling.
Good with Kids? Unknown
Older gentle kids I may be ok with.
Critter Twitter:

I am one bright, very playful and oh so sweet boy. I love to play, especially with my sisters. They are so fun to play with! We play chase and love to wrestle. But I am honestly not the biggest fan of sharing sometimes if it's my favorite toy or treat. I will come for a cuddle or just to check in when my energy is more burned out, until the batteries recharge and it's game on again. I love crinkly toys and feather toys. I am just one awesome little house panther you can't help but fall in love with.

About my Behaviour:

I am not really demanding at all and I understand the need of personal space. But I still love knowing you are nearby. In fact, I would love a home where someone could be home more often. Maybe you work from home or have different schedules then other people in the house. That would be cool as I am very much a people cat.

I love to play with my sisters and, I am very cat social as such, I do need a home with either a sibling, another kitty, or a home with already a younger cat.

How’s my Health?

I am fully vetted. The number of vaccines will depend on length in care. Wet food is very important to a kitty's health, so be sure to feed me at least one meal of wet food a day. It helps add much needed moisture for my kidneys and bladder health. Scheduled meals is best to help us form a strong bond and regulate my food intake. You can leave a small amount of dry out overnight and while you are away at work though.

Older, gentle and calm kids I may be ok with.
Critter Twitter:

I am a trailblazer. I am the first to explore and try new things. I am very brave honestly. I may have sad eyes, but I am not sad at all! I love to play, and I love my siblings. I am quite the social lil lady and, I enjoy coming for a good cuddle session from time to time. When I am not too busy playing that is. I am not overly needy and happy to do my own thing. But I will never say no to wand toy play time. I am very smart and I would enjoy clicker training. Food puzzles would also be very fun. I can't wait to meet you!

About my Behaviour:

I must be adopted to a home with another young cat friendly cat, with slow proper introductions of course. Otherwise I must be adopted to a home with my brother Pixel, or another kitten.

Good with Cats? Must have a cat friend
I must be adopted to a home with another young playful cat friendly cat buddy or with a sibling.
Good with Kids? Yes
Cat friendly kids I love
Critter Twitter:

I am one sweet girl who loves to be petted on the head and, though I enjoy cuddling, I am pretty quiet gal who who isn't needy at all. I am happy to do my own thing, playing with my toys or siblings. I am one curious sweetie who walks with confidence and curiosity. I am one amazing lil grey tabby who can't wait for my next catwalk and grand adventure.

About my Behaviour:

I am great with other cat friendly cats and I need a youngish kitty playmate or to be adopted with a sibling. I love dogs who are cat friendly and who won't play to mean. And I love kids of all ages who are gentle with me and not extremely clingy. A supercat enjoys her alone time too, it's tiring to be so gorgeous all the time after all.

How’s my Health?

I am fully vetted. The number of vaccines will depend on length in care.

Jenga found
With careful and quiet and slow work, Jenga was found with the help of her foster human, Penelope the dog she used to live with - her foster family and her adoptive mom put in countless hours trying to find her. They did all the hard work and they did it with such care and respect for a frightened dog.

Penelope, the dog found her asleep in a tree line covered in snow huddled in a ball .

And the humans did everything right not making noise, moving slowly and not spooking her.

Critter Twitter:

I am one stunning cutie who is a bit shy at first, but boy, am I a real love bug when settled in. I am firm believer of understanding the need of personal space, but I also love to be on the lap of the teen who enjoys doing crochet. I am not needy but I am happy to come cuddle from time to time. I love to give and get kisses. I am one sweetheart of a kitten I am sure you will fall in love with.

About my Behaviour:

I would do best in a more calm, quiet home that is more of a introvert like me. I take quite a bit of time to be ok with strangers and, I will often hide under the couch. If you socialize me with a few new people very slowly who are understanding of shy cats, I may become more of a mojo cat in time. Bribery with treats and wand toy play time as well as feliway optimum could help me be more social. But it could also just be my personality, not even people are all extroverts after all. Either way limiting parties or go to someone else's house for the party would be great for me. I mean it's a lot less cleaning and expense for you!

I am great with other cat friendly cats and I need a youngish kitty playmate or to be adopted with a sibling. Being adopted with a sibling may help me settle in more quickly so it would be ideal if I could be. I love dogs who are cat friendly and who won't play mean with me. Since I am shy no dogs with any prey drive please as I may trigger them. Given my shyness and because I am scared of loud noises, older cat savvy kids would be best for me. I would probably be a heart cat to one awesome cat loving teen honestly.

How’s my Health?

I am fully vetted. The number of vaccines will depend on length in care.

Good with Kids? Yes
Especially if gentle and not super clingy.
Critter Twitter:

I am a stunning house panther who is queen of toyland. I love toys, especially my favorite toys, and I will protect them from my siblings who aren't so gentle with them. I will carry my toys around and hide them in safe places to keep my siblings from harming them. Any who dare to take them while I am moving them I will give them a friendly warning to back away. As queen I did promise their safety after all. I still love to play with my toys and my siblings though, but sharing is not caring in my book. I will be sure to come down from my throne to get cuddles from time to time, so don't you worry. I always make sure my constituents are happy.

About my Behaviour:

I am great with other cat friendly cats and I need a youngish kitty playmate or to be adopted with a sibling (just not Macadamia as she is too much like me, neither of us like to share toys). I love dogs who are cat friendly and who won't play mean with me. No one likes dog drool in the face all the time after all. And I love kids of all ages who are gentle with me and not extremely clingy. I don't like to be forced to cuddle if I wanna play or sleep. Respectful boundaries are important to the mental wellbeing of all after all.

Critter Twitter:

I am the opposition to the Queendom and I expect the next voting to go in my favor not Poplars'. After all, who doesn't love a sassy princess who protects toys from bullies and, is happy to grace people with my presence from time to time. I am the purrfect candidate for someone who wants a sassy lady who isn't demanding and happy to do her own thing. Maybe once my reign is official, I will be far more cuddly, but, for now I am busy running my campaign. Rescue never sleeps after all and I have to stand out amongst all the other candidates.

About my Behaviour:

I am great with other cat friendly cats and, I do need a youngish kitty playmate or to be adopted with a sibling (just not Poplar as we are opposing candidates to the Queendom). I enjoy playing with my siblings a lot, even though they can be annoying sometimes. I love dogs who are cat friendly and who aren't mean to me. I do love kids of all ages who are gentle with me and not extremely clingy. I don't like to be forced to cuddle if I wanna play or sleep. I came to Zoe's with my puppies and now that they are grown I'm ready to find a home.

Date of Birth: Approx 3 years old

Energy Level: Medium - I like a good play but also know how to chill

Size (adult): Medium (approx 65lbs)

Adoption Fee: $425 What a deal for this gorgeous gal!

Good with Dogs? Yes
With proper introductions I get along well with other dogs.
Good with Cats? Unknown
I haven't been around any cats yet
Good with Kids? Yes
I am sweet and gentle and would do well with kids.

Critter Twitter:

Hello I'm Wendy and I'm looking for my forever home. I'm sweet, smart, and love to play – whether it's running in the yard or chasing after a ball, I'm always up for some fun. But when I'm done, I’m just as happy to chill inside with you, cuddled up on the couch. I love being around my humans and showing them how loyal and loving I can be. I'm great at listening and learning new things, so I'm ready to show you how quickly I can adapt to my new home. I enjoy meeting new friends, both human and doggy, and I'm super gentle with everyone I meet. If you're looking for a loving companion who knows how to have fun but also loves to relax, I'm your girl! I can't wait to meet you and start our new adventure together.

About my Behaviour:

I am house trained. I haven't been introduced to a crate yet but I've been good in the house. I liked to learn and eager to please so I'm relatively easy to train. To ensure we get off on the right paw, my adopters will be required to sign up for force-free training. You can find a list of great trainers at www.albertaforcefreealliance.com.

How’s my Health?

I will be spayed, up to date on my vaccinations, dewormed and microchipped.

Our Story

Founded in Edmonton, Alberta in 2012 - Zoe’s Animal Rescue Society has quickly become a respected non profit that works across provincial and national borders to do as much good as possible. We have adopted out close to 3,000 animals. We take in stray and surrendered animals and can provide courtesy posts for helping rehome pets. We also offer supportive programs such as SNR (Spay Neuter Return), Helping Hand low cost veterinary care and Community Pet Food Sharing to provide support to low-income families and marginalized communities. Our goal is to match each of our foster animals with the home that is perfect for them. Our in-depth adoption process was developed with that in mind and has resulted in a less than 4% return rate. Our fosters are more just animals to us. They are a cherished life, each with a story and a desire to love and be loved. Our fosters do not leave our hearts once their adoption is finalized and our adopters become part of our family. Our door (or inbox) is always open for questions, updates, or, of course, photos. Once a Zoe’s animal, always a Zoe’s animal.
