Brie Charcuterie | Female | Mixed Breed |

Rescue Story:
I came to Zoe's when I was very pregnant and was lucky enough to have and raise my puppies in a safe, warm place. I was adopted out but unfortunately I was a little too much for the senior dog in the home so I'm back and hoping for another chance.

Date of Birth: September 20, 2022 (est)

Energy Level: High - I am happiest with daily exercise and mental activities

Size (adult): Medium (approx 55lbs)

Adoption Fee: *ADOPTION FEE WAIVED*

Good with Dogs? No
I do have some dog friends but I can play pretty rough and would do best as the only dog in the home.
Good with Cats? No
I've never lived with cats but I have pretty strong prey drive so likely not a good fit.
Good with Kids? Yes
I LOVE kiddos and am excellent with them!
Critter Twitter:

Hi, I’m Brie Charcuterie! 🐾 I’m a young dog with a heart as big as my smile. Since moving into foster care, I’ve shown just how loving, resilient, and eager to please I really am. I’m the perfect medium size for playtime, cuddles, and everything in between. I adore belly rubs, fetch, car rides, long walks, and any kind of fun game that makes me think. Around the house, I’m calm and easygoing — I love naps in sunny spots, hanging out in the yard, and following my people like a loyal shadow. I’ll always be waiting at the door, ready to greet you with love. I’d do best as the only pet in the home, since I prefer people over other animals, but I’ll gladly soak up all the attention you give me. I’m food-motivated and love learning new things, so training with me will be fun and rewarding. Most of all, I promise to fill your days with joy, laughter, cuddles, and adventures. 💖 Could I be the missing piece to your family?

About my Behaviour:

I'm a very easy lady to live with. As long as I get a good walk and maybe some brain work, I'm quite happy to chill out and relax around the house. I am house trained and crate trained. I have been working hard on my leash manners but can still be reactive when seeing other dogs. I would do best in a home with no other animals. I am wonderful with small humans though, and would make an amazing family pet. Zoe's will include 2 private training sessions with a certified force-free trainer with my adoption to help set my new family up for success!

How’s my Health?

I am spayed, up to date on my vaccinations, dewormed and microchipped.

Schilling Pate | Female | Stray cutie (DSH) |

Rescue Story:
I was a stray kitten born in the city in need of help and a forever home. I was trapped in the same area as Lira, but they aren't sure if we are siblings or not. We are very close though now since being in care.

Date of Birth: June 2025 (est)

Energy Level: Medium

Size (adult): Medium

Adoption Fee: $225 for me or $350 for Lira and I.

Good with Dogs? Very specific dog(s) only
Only calm, cat friendly dogs with no prey drive please. I am skittish and could trigger prey drive in some.
Good with Cats? Must have a cat friend
I must be adopted to a home with another very cat friendly cat buddy for me. I'd love to be adopted with my sister if possible though.
Good with Kids? Maybe
Older kids only who are understanding of shy cats nature.
Critter Twitter:

I am a sweet-natured, shy girl who enjoys playing with my toys and my sister. Once tired and settled in, I am a huge little lap cat. I will keep you laughing with my kitten antics and make you fall in love with me over and over again while I purr on your lap. I may not be an instant bestie, but I am well worth the wait. Just give me time, patience, and love. And I will give you back that love tenfold.

About my Behaviour:

I do require a calm, quiet home, as I startle very easily with loud noises and fast movements. Once settled in, I am very much a sweetie and well worth the invested time in me.

I would love to be adopted with my sister if possible, as we do seek each other out for comfort. I might be ok without her as long as you have a very cat-friendly, confident cat buddy for me. With slow, proper introductions, of course.

How’s my Health?

I am fixed, microchipped, and dewormed. The number of vaccines will depend on the length of care. I must be fed at least one meal of wet food a day for hydration. Wet food is important, as it's best for kitties, so please make sure it's in my diet. Wet food is higher in protein and can be lower in carbs. It also gives added moisture, which is important, as dry-food-only-fed cats tend to be dehydrated, which can lead to UTIs.

I am a shy but oh-so-sweet little tripod. Once I get to know you, I love being scooped up and will happily settle on your chest or lap. I love to play, especially with my sister, and I have the prettiest markings with the sweetest face. I know we may not be instant besties, but I can't wait to get to know you, and in time, I will more than make up for the wait. I may never leave your side!

I had a bad leg injury that required amputation. I am a tripod and doing really well. It is best to ensure that I do not get overweight, as it would be harder on my one leg to cope and may lead to early osteoarthritis. It has taken me a bit to get used to three legs, but I am starting to do all normal kitty things again.

I love to play, bounce around, and show off my goofy puppy moves. When I’m done with all my fun, I love curling up for a cozy nap. I’m learning all about good manners and love when you cheer me on. My tail never stops wagging, and I have plenty of love to give. If you’re looking for a sweet, joyful puppy to brighten your days, I’m your girl.

Rescue Story:
I came to Zoe's from Northern Alberta with my two adorable puppies. My owner was very sick and was no longer able to care for us so now we are here looking for a second chance.

Date of Birth: September 9, 2024 (est)

Energy Level: Medium-High - I am happiest with daily exercise and mental activities

Size (adult): Large (approx 75lbs)

Adoption Fee: $425 What a deal for this gorgeous gal!

Good with Dogs? Yes
I love playing with doggy friends!
Good with Cats? Unknown
I haven't been around any cats yet.
Good with Kids? Yes
I love kids! I'm still working on my manners but should be fine with proper supervision.
Critter Twitter:

Hi! My name is Mandy and I am a literal ray of sunshine. Everyone I meet is my new best friend. I live with other dogs and love to play with them. I adore children, although my energy might be too much for very small kids. I love to go for walks and I walk very well on leash. My foster mom says I am a smart cookie! My ideal family would have plenty of time to spend playing with me, walking around the neighbourhood, and then snuggling up on the couch at the end of the day. If you are looking for an endlessly happy, playful, and cuddly best friend, I’m your girl!

About my Behaviour:

I am adjusting very well to being an inside dog and will ask to go out when I need to potty. I am not crate trained yet, but I have not been destructive in my foster’s home. I am working hard on learning some basic commands; I am smart and eager to please. I need a family that is willing to spend time exercising and playing with me, and providing enrichment to put my puppy energy and smart brain to good use.To ensure we get off on the right paw, my adopters will be required to sign up for force-free training. You can find a list of great trainers at www.albertaforcefreealliance.com.

How’s my Health?

I will be spayed, up to date on my vaccinations, dewormed and microchipped.

Meet Goldie, this sweet boy was a stray that we helped the finder with vetting. No one claimed him and we agreed to take him. This sweet boy is quite shy but coming out of his shell. We were told he had an old fractured leg but once he settled in and began walking it's quite clear he has something going on. He will be going to the vet for a full work up to see what's going on with this sweetie. If you would like to donate towards his vet bill please etransfer to [email protected] and keep this sweet boy in your thoughts and prayers.

Nigiri Sushi | Female | House Pantheress (DSH) |

Rescue Story:
A lady contacted another rescue about two female cats who had tiny kittens on her property and needed help. Now my partying days are more about playing with toys and having the best indoor cat life ever.

Date of Birth: April 2024

Energy Level: Medium - High

Size (adult): Small

Adoption Fee: $170

Good with Dogs? No
I am not a fan of dogs at all, sorry. Likely I spent my fair share having to run from dogs and coyotes as an outdoor kitty.
Good with Cats? Yes
I am great with other cat friendly cats with slow proper introductions.
Good with Kids? Unknown
If older and will play with me lots, we might get along great as long as they respect my space.
Critter Twitter:

I am one sweet house panther. I may not be a lap cat, but I do enjoy sitting right next to you, purring away. I will also butt your hand for attention when I want it; the odd time I can be a lap cat though. I am great with all people I meet. I love to play, and I do really enjoy going out on a harness and leash. If you're looking for an adventure, kitty, I am your gal! I can't wait to find my forever home.

About my Behaviour:

I am a very talkative girl who loves to chat and trill. I get excited when I see my human come home, and my tail shakes. If you love to have conversations with your kitty, I am your gal! Just think of all the gossip we can talk about.

I am good with other cat-friendly cats. I do love the young resident cat who loves to play with me. She is on the small side like me, and we are two peas in a pod. If you have a young, small cat looking for a playmate, that could be me! I am fine with the bigger boy who wants to be left alone, since he leaves me alone. As long as the other cats respect my space, we will get along just fine. Especially if you play me out a lot which reduces the risk of play aggression.

How’s my Health?

I am fully vetted. Wet food is very important to a kitty's health, so be sure to feed me at least one meal of wet food a day. It helps add much-needed moisture for my kidney and bladder health. Scheduled meals are best to help us form a strong bond and regulate my food intake.

Quincy Quill | Female | Mixed Breed |

Rescue Story:
I was found in a rural community with a face full of porcupine quills. Zoe's was able to step in and bring me into care and get me the vet care I needed. Now I'm feeling much less prickly and ready to find my people!

Date of Birth: March 19, 2025

Energy Level: Medium - I'm still a puppy, but a pretty chill one

Size (adult): Medium-Large

Adoption Fee: $450 Steal of a deal for ALL this cuteness

Good with Dogs? Yes
I currently live with another dog so with proper introductions I should have no problem making new friends.
Good with Cats? Yes
I am good with the cats in my foster home.
Good with Kids? Yes
I have no problems with little humans!
Critter Twitter:

Hi, I’m Quincy! I’m a young girl with a gentle heart and a love for everyone I meet—dogs, kids, even cats. I’m happiest when I’m close to my people, especially if it means cuddle time on the couch. I’ve been told I have the sweetest, calmest personality, and I take pride in being such a good girl. I don’t jump up or nip; I’d rather sit nicely and soak up all the love you’ll give me. I enjoy playing, but I’m also perfectly content to relax by your side. My soft eyes and wagging tail will melt your heart every single day. I can’t wait to find my forever family and be the gentle, snuggly companion you’ve been looking for.

About my Behaviour:

I am crate trained and house trained. I do bark when I see other dogs and people from the yard and will sometimes resource guard my most favourite things from the other animals in my foster home so we'll need to keep working on that. As a condition of adoption, we must register for a force free, in-person, group training class for puppies. We'll learn so much and bond and I can have some socializing time with other dogs in a safe environment, which is really critical for young pups! Please check out www.albertaforcefreealliance.com for some great force free trainers!

How’s my Health?

My mom was an owned cat who got out, and her owner needed help to find us homes once we were old enough. Mom was spayed, so no more litters, and we are all now ready for forever homes.

Date of Birth: August 2025

Energy Level: Very High

Size (adult): Medium

Adoption Fee: $350 for my brother Beryl and I.

Good with Dogs? Unknown
Never met one, so not sure.
Good with Cats? Bonded Pair
I love to play with Beryl and we always call out to each other if we can't find each other.
Good with Kids? Maybe
Older, gentle kids who are quiet only please.
Critter Twitter:

I am a high-energy, cuddly girl who loves to play and play. I love to play with my brother and with toys. I have a small, delicate frame with very pretty markings. I am an agile jumper and I love to jump and run. I love to follow you around, and whatever you are doing, I want in on it. Once tired, I am generally always by you or on you, my nonstop purring motor. Once settled in, I really am the purrfect gal.

About my Behaviour:

I must be adopted with my brother Beryl, as we are quite bonded. I will call out for him constantly if I can't see him, and he will come running. We are good with other cat-friendly cats with slow, proper introductions. Especially if they are young and like to play.

I do require a calm, quiet home, as I startle very easily with loud noises and fast movements. I also am very attention-seeking and require a lot of cuddle time and playtime. If you are looking for a Velcro kitty, that's me! It just might take a few months for me to really show you my big heart. But I am well worth the wait!

How’s my Health?

I am fixed, microchipped, and dewormed. The number of vaccines will depend on the length of care. I must be fed at least one meal of wet food a day for hydration. Critter Twitter:

I am a big clumsy kitty who will make you laugh with my antics. I am very much a go-with-the-flow type kitten with a teddy bear personality. I may not be a lap cat, but I am often near you and always sleeping at your feet. I don't mind the smell! I am a fun-loving boy who you will fall madly in love with. I have a nice warm-toned tabby colouring and thicker fur. Though not likely a longhair, I should have a bit longer fur than most shorthairs. I can't wait to meet you.

About my Behaviour:

I must be adopted with my sister Citrine, as we hate being apart. She is very shy, and I help her see that people are great! Once she comes around, she is very affectionate, but she just needs her big bro's vote of confidence. In fact, we love people so much that it would be ideal if you were home often. We are great with cat-friendly cats with slow, proper introductions. I have been trying to get the resident cat to like me; so far, that's a nope.

We require a calm, zen-like home so my sister can settle in more quickly. You must want a demanding, Velcro kitten because that's her!

Our Story

Founded in Edmonton, Alberta in 2012 - Zoe’s Animal Rescue Society has quickly become a respected non profit that works across provincial and national borders to do as much good as possible. We have adopted out close to 3,000 animals. We take in stray and surrendered animals and can provide courtesy posts for helping rehome pets. We also offer supportive programs such as SNR (Spay Neuter Return), Helping Hand low cost veterinary care and Community Pet Food Sharing to provide support to low-income families and marginalized communities. Our goal is to match each of our foster animals with the home that is perfect for them. Our in-depth adoption process was developed with that in mind and has resulted in a less than 4% return rate. Our fosters are more just animals to us. They are a cherished life, each with a story and a desire to love and be loved. Our fosters do not leave our hearts once their adoption is finalized and our adopters become part of our family. Our door (or inbox) is always open for questions, updates, or, of course, photos. Once a Zoe’s animal, always a Zoe’s animal.
