Very handsome 2 year old ginger Chester is taking his role as in-store ambassador at Pet Valu Spruce Grove very seriously - he’s doing some up close and personal quality control of the catnip toys, and I’d say he gave them an A+!Chester is approx 2 years old and a huge (literally 😝) love! He loves humans of all ages and sizes. He doesn’t mind other kitties as long as they’re friendly, but dogs are kind of scary so a doggo free home would be best!Chester is neutered, vaccinated and chipped, and his adoption fee is only $75! Don’t miss you chance to meet this cutie and maybe bring him home 🥰
We’re convinced the only reason 4 month old Marley is still looking for a forever home is because he can be a little shy with new people. But he warms up in absolutely no time at all, and is the biggest love once he knows he can trust and is safe!
Marley adores other cats. His foster mom will often catch him with his tail hooked together with one of the adult cats in the house, giving one of his foster friends a bath, or perched at the very top of a cuddle puddle, soaking in as much love as he can get. This handsome guy also really loves to play! So a home with a social kitty, (maybe with his brother or sister!) would be a must.
Marley is neutered, vaccinated, and chipped. Because he can be a little timid with really loud noises, a home without a dog would be best. Kiddos are OK as long as they’re old enough to understand not to chase him, and give him a bit of breathing room when he needs it!
His adoption fee has been discounted to just $100, or $150 with another FMN kitty until Dec 31 🥰
2024 sure has been an interesting year. Many of you may have noticed that rescue human shifted her focus away from neonatal orphan kittens, because we were tackling another incredible project. Treating FIP.
FIP - Feline Infectious Peritonitis. The name is misleading because FIP is actually not contagious but stems from a genetic mutation combined with the feline coronavirus that most cats carry.
There are 2 forms of FIP, a wet form that presents with a large distended belly full of infectious fluid that spreads to the lungs and heart, and the dry form, where kitties become very lethargic, skinny, and slowly fade away, often presenting with nasty ocular and neurological symptoms along the way.
Until very recently, this was a death sentence, and the second most horrific news we could get from a vet aside from a Panleukopenia diagnosis. The good news is, there’s treatment for FIP! It’s affordable, and it’s accessible. Some forms of treatment are now even covered by pet insurance companies like Trupanion, and there are treatment options available by prescription from our vets. The strides made in FIP research and treatment in the last 2 years is unparalleled.
Under the guidance and direction of @fipchampionscanada, rescue human has helped over 25 cats and kittens with FIP make a FULL RECOVERY this year. Only a few of these babies were FMN kitties. Some came from our partner rescues, or random families who made their way to us looking for help and support finding treatment after their cats diagnosis. But they are all alive and thriving!
Our favourite FIP Champion of course is our sweet Oliver, who was diagnosed with dry FIP in early summer 2024, and will continue living his best life after graduating his 84 day observation period on Monday!
It’s impossible to imagine any of those 25 babies not being here with us anymore. We don’t need to lose one more kitty to this disease. We have more than just hope, there is a light at the end of the tunnel. We just

Sweet Ace was a really big one. This absolute angel boy was lucky to have not one, but 3 foster moms who absolutely adored him. His siblings were absolutely perfect, but this poor guy could not catch a break genetically.
It’s common for end of year/fall Kittens to have a lot of problems, but Ace had literally one life altering, genetic problem after another. Their mama must’ve had several litters this year and was likely in terrible shape before she even have them. The life of her babies was an uphill battle that she couldn’t win.
We tried absolutely everything to save this sweetheart. Rescue human loved him so much we had to put his bunny bed away, because she just couldn’t stand to look at it without Ace in it. But there was really, truly nothing we could do to keep him with us.
We lost him to sepsis at barely 7 weeks old. He left a huge hole in a lot of hearts, and he helped to fuel our fire to keep promoting spay/neuter at any cost!
The most difficult part of this sweet angels story is that he never had to be born in the first place.

Handsome 5 month old ginger brothers Simon & Garfunkel are ready for their forever home! These cuties were part of a larger group of feral kittens brought to our friends at Parkland County.
It’s true, they were very scared and very shy at first, but nothing that some love, commitment, and TLC from their amazing foster home couldn’t fix!
The boys would do best in a home without very young kids or dogs, but they absolutely adore, and we mean adore other cats! They love to play with interactive toys, watch tv, and snooze in a sun beam.
Simon & Garfunkel are neutered, vaccinated and chipped, and to help them find a calm and nurturing forever home, their adoption fee is BY DONATION ONLY!
A very happy Thanksgiving to everyone in our Furget Me Not family - from all of the humans, kitties, and a very thankful, slimmed down, pedicured and partially sighted potbelly pig named Bjorn!
We’ve had a wild year so far – in addition to hundreds of kitties rescued we’ve also helped a hen, a Barbados Blackbelly sheep, and of course, our handsome boy Bjorn who is a whole new man thanks to your help!
We hope you all enjoyed your Turkey Day as much as we enjoyed our afternoon with this cutie ❤️
Love bug Venus is STILL patiently waiting for her forever home! She has so much love to give, but a traumatic experience with other pets in her last home has made her very anxious with other animals, and she must be the only pet in her house.
We know that’s a tall ask with most pet lovers already having other animals, but there must be SOMEONE out there looking for a sweet solo kitty!
Venus is approx 1 year old, spayed, vaccinated and chipped, and her adoption fee is BY DONATION ONLY! She’s waited oh so long, help us find her human!
