Animals are such an important part of life. The love, the lessons the loss. Prayers up to all the animals they give so much of themselves to us. This is our Bubba cat, when we left home and came here with only the clothes on our backs, the only thing my grand children cried for was their mom and Bubba. They wanted their cats. Please pray that I find housing. For our family, I need all the help I can get.

With donations at the lowest they’ve ever been and essential expenses on the rise, We are running low on many things that the Rescue uses regularly for the animals that we have waiting for adoption, we are out of raw meats, (the donation we counted on never materialized) we accept any freezer meat: punkin seeds and or purée, unpasteurized honey, bones, teddy bears, we are currently out of cleaning supplies, paper towel , baby wipes, rags, gloves, puppy poop bags, (prefer the bio degradable ones) Cat supplies, toys, beds blankets; linens. laundry soap ,vinegar baking soda, , garbage bags, diatomaceous earth, if anyone has a line on dirt? We can use a load here, to fill in the holes Iskweesis is digging. She’s a bit of a digger: We accept all donations in the Castledowns area.

Please share : Needing transport for a pregnant rescue, from Slave lake to edmonton or calgary - asap I cannot make this trip myself. My tires need attention. If anyone is able? - preferable this weekend. Anyone able to help this mama out? She’s going to Calgary, Furball force.
We took liquorice to indigenous day events today, she had a great time. I wish I could keep her, she’s such a great girl. She loves people and kids- She really wants to meet little dogs and babies she loves the kids greeting her, she’s not a fan of men at all. Very scared of them when they get close or move fast. she does listen very well. she sits when I tell her to sit, and she lays down when I tell her to lay down. Shes easy to roll into a bit of a belly show when she wants affection. She’s such a sweet soul. Shes learning. She found a comfy spot on Julianna’s leg and decided to have a sit. She enjoyed the festivities today. And we hope to find her family soon.
Thank you very much Bev- I appreciate you. Lulu , liquorice, Oreo and iksweesis appreciate you. I still have these beauties for adoption.
I haven’t been posting much, Feeling beyond stressed as I’m struggling with how to keep the rescue going. I have this list of animals in care that still needs vetting. Oreo the pups Raven needs another X-ray and her litter mate will need shots again soon , Licorice, Iskweesis Lulu, maple bacon , we simply haven’t had the funds available to get them finished with spay or neuter, that bill is 1000$ - the page reach doesn’t seem to be finding anyone to sponsor foster or foster to adopt them, so many requests but no follow through, we need donations to continue. It’s a never ending list of animals needing help. The list of dogs waiting to come in to safety is long. A mother dog with pups two single dogs - a “pure bred” mastiff female. There are many cats around 10 waiting for transport as well. This is a never ending issue of logistics rescue trips cost minimum 400$
Lack of affordable vet care up north, lack of transportation- so remote the areas these dogs are in.
We have loving dogs here now -in the Edmonton area posted to this page. Ready for adoption, dewormed with vaccines From small to large. that need to find their homes. We are asking for donations to continue to help them. We could really use a successful five dollar (5$)friday! If you can send 5$ if everyone following sends 5$ we can get these dogs to their new beginings.
100$ raised so far for 5$ Friday! Thank you for donating!
If anyone wants to help any of the dogs posted please message for details. On how we can work together to rescue.
The go fund me is stalled and the page isn’t generating funds. We are desperate seeking homes for these dogs.

There were four cats that made their way to Calgary today as well. One very pregnant mama. A kitten a big boy. and another pregnant ginger: I do not have pictures as they were not in my care, so here’s a cute video of my fat cat Bubba coming to me for his morning love pets. He loves his belly rubs!
