New Year, new beginnings for us! Exciting changes are on the horizon at Summerside Vet Hospital! For those who may not be aware, we're relocating across Ellerslie Road to a larger facility. While we haven't finalized our exact moving date, we’re thrilled to watch the progress unfold.

They are currently being fostered by Dr. Gruber through Alberta Homeward Hound Rescue Bureau. Fun Fact: Orange male cats are significantly more prevalent than orange females, with estimates suggesting that around 80% of orange cats are male. This imbalance is attributed to the fact that the gene responsible for coat color is linked to s*x, as the orange color gene resides on the X chromosome. Females have two X chromosomes, so they need two copies of the gene to be orange!

Summerside Vet Hospital is a locally owned and operated small animal vet clinic serving Edmonton, Alberta and surrounding areas. Under new ownership in 2019, our dedicated and compassionate team is committed to the development of warm, long-lasting relationships with you and your pet. We are pleased to offer over 25 years veterinary experience and are devoted to the highest standard of patient care, client communication, and customer service.

Our veterinarians, Dr Pat Kubik and Dr Lisa Gruber, firmly believe in preventative care and both are strongly focused on client education. This allows owners to play an active role in keeping their pets as healthy as possible throughout their lives. We look forward to working with our owners and their new puppies, beloved seniors and every stage in between!

We are a full service veterinary hospital. In addition to the annual wellness exams and vaccinations that are so critical to maintaining your pet’s health, Summerside Vet Hospital offers a wide range of in-house diagnostic, treatment, and hospitalisation services. We are passionate about dental care and offer a full complement of dental services including cleaning, radiographs, and extractions if required. Our surgery suite is fully equipped and along with routine procedures, we perform more complex soft tissue surgeries. We will endeavour to accommodate emergencies that may arise with your pet whenever possible. Please stop by or contact us if you have any questions.
