Visit www.tickmaps.ca for a 2-week ‘tick risk forecast’ or check what days had potential tick activity in the past 12 months.
Regardless of the time of year, it is important to recognize that ticks may pose a risk to pets and people.

Start when your pet is young. Begin with massaging the gums, so they are ready for a toothbrush when adult teeth are fully erupted (6-7 months). Older pets can benefit from brushing too. But it's a good idea to have your veterinarian assess their teeth first to ensure any issues are addressed before getting into the toothbrushing habit.
