To our clients,

Please note that Dr. Charlene Knapp-Miller will have limited availability/accessibility for the rest of August.

Dr. Charlene will continue working at the clinic on Thursday afternoons and Fridays. The rest of the week, Dr. Charlene will be devoting her time to helping the clients and patients of Jasper Veterinary Clinic, who have been displaced by the tragic wildfire that struck the town of Jasper, and ultimately burned down the clinic. She will be working out of a clinic in Valemount to serve these clients and patients in their time of need. Our thoughts are with those affected by the Jasper wildfire destruction.

Know that your pets continue to be a priority for us. Dr. Charlene is available for her patients Thursday afternoons and Fridays, however for anything more urgent during the time she is away, the rest of our veterinary staff will be here ready to help! Thank you for your understanding and support. 🙏

Edmonton Holistic Veterinary Clinic is partnering with Lyndell Drever from Sacred Hearts to offer you an online caregiver support group.

Caring for an elderly or ill pet can be an emotionally, physically, and spiritually lonely and challenging journey.

Please join others who are on a similar caregiving path. We will listen and hold space for one another, share our stories and experiences, and provide support and validation to one another. We will share coping strategies to navigate this journey, connect with others, and remember we aren't alone.

This day can be tricky for some, those who have lost their mom, have complicated relationships with their mom, who never knew their mom, and for those who have lost other loved ones (human or fur). Take time to do something for yourself (or to do nothing) and enjoy the weekend.

Here at EHVC we offer alternatives as well as traditional care to the animal companions who come and see us. We specialize in Traditional Chinese Veterinary Medication which is an adaptation and extension of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) used to treat humans. Alongside Western veterinary care, we offer acupuncture, homeopathy, myofascial release, mobility and joint concerns, massage, well as can talk about diet. We also offer palliative and hospice options, quality of life conversations, and house call euthanasia.
We often have same day appointments.

Happy first day of May. Beautiful weather is coming and it's time for outdoor adventures! When you take your fur companion out for a walk, take time to build up endurance. Start with slow and shorter walks to help reduce injuries for you and for them! Bring water and snacks (for both of you), take rest breaks in the shade, and go in when needed. Enjoy this beautiful weather.
