Harper is up for adoption! She needs an experienced home who has the time to work her mind and body.
Foster to adopt is ideal.

Breed: Border Collie
Energy: 10/10
Spayed female
35 pounds
Location: Edmonton, Alberta

✔️ No separation anxiety, might bark occasionally
✔️ Knows: Whistle recall, sit, lie down, drop, off, get it, wait, stay, tunnel
✔️ Spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped

Dogs - Yes - dogs of similar size only recommended, male dogs are better matched
Cats - Likely not
Kids - Unknown. Likely not. Kids 10+ please

Her Story:
Harper was found as a stray at a Walmart parking lot in Edmonton. She had no identification and was not claimed from animal control. She exhibited defensive aggressive behaviors in the shelter so I took her on to assess her and place her appropriately.

Her Personality:
PLAYFUL!! Energetic. Would make a good sports dog - she has amazing toy drive, will tug and play fetch forever. She is agile and fast and learns very fast. She might struggle in busy environments, definitely has FOMO.

Can be sensitive to invasive handling with new people and/or people leaning over her. She might struggle with vet visits and will need an experienced adopter to help her with this.

She can be quite vocal towards seeing things outside the yard, and demand barking, but has made huge improvements in the last 2 months. She is also working hard to learn not to pull on leash or jump on people.

My old boy Stryder has two serious knee injuries (and preexisting spinal arthritis) and I really need to place Harper in a foster to adopt home, as she is pretty rough on him! If you know of any experienced people looking for a high energy, high drive dog, please show them Harper! She really is a great dog, if I were at a different point in my life I might even keep her. But my focus needs to be on rehabbing Stryder for the next while.

Harper is spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and microchipped.

Please help! This is Jersey and she is being spayed on Tuesday at Edmonton West. Her owner is facing very hard times but wants to keep Jersey and needs help preventing more puppies. It’s going to take me a bit to get my rescue account set up, so if you can help, please e-transfer the vet directly. Including pain meds and taxes, her spay will be around $400. I will be paying the remaining balance on Tuesday, so I’m hoping it’s small 😅

Preventing more puppies coming to the world is crucial right now. Everywhere is overflowing with dogs and good dogs are being euthanized because nobody has space for them.

Just another reminder to PLEASE have your pup on flea/tick/lice preventative as canine lice is still very popular. Alternatively you can educate yourself on all these little pests and go through your dogs coat, to the skin, every few days. If your pet is itchy, that’s a sign to take a very close look.

Times are tough for many. If you are struggling and can’t afford to get your pet groomed, please send me a message and we can work something out. This applies to dogs who have become matted, overgrown/impacted etc. Everyone needs help sometimes, so don’t be afraid to reach out to me.

This is Halo! I adopted her from a local rescue at 9 weeks old. She’s almost 3 now and she’s an absolute sweetheart. She does have limited hearing but she knows some cool tricks anyways! We have a few spots left in our upcoming trick class if you want to teach your dog some moves as well! 🤩 🐕 💕
