Working on getting the birds more comfortable with me and working towards them stepping up on my finger. They do not have their wings clipped, and I have been allowing them out of their enclosure for enrichment and exercise around my home (supervised of course). The end goal for me is to be able to recall them to my finger.

I often see guardians with pets that they struggle to place equipment on whether that be harnesses, collars, leashes, muzzles or even boots and coats. Itās so important to create positive associations with these items prior to just popping them on. Placing unknown items onto our pups can be scary for them, so itās important to start off on the right paw.
Harnesses can be especially difficult if they are fitted improperly as they can be uncomfortable. Itās important to find a well fitting harness that works for your pup that doesnāt cause discomfort. Itās also important to watch for signs or fear, anxiety or stress when you are introducing new equipment/ gear to them.

Cold weather tips!
Some dogs can tolerate the cold better than others but what do you do if your dog doesnāt tolerate the cold? What if jackets and booties cause undue stress for your pup? Now what?
DS/CC to booties and jackets is possible, but can take time. In the mean time, itās okay to go for shorter walks/outside breaks and consider increasing mental stimulation.
