just wanted to let everyone know that I have a potential buyer for everything in the store. Until they are able to come by and check everything out - nothing will be available for sale. Sorry for any inconvenience this may cause some people that were considering some items. However, I would much prefer to sell everything at once to one person instead of piece by piece to a thousand people.
Btw - it was great to see a lot of familiar faces this weekend.
I will miss the discussions and connections I built with many of you over the years.

if there is anyone with an appropriately aged kid or is a teacher that wants a tank for their classroom...this 30 gallon all in one tank and Stand is free.
please don't tell me that your 2 year old has always wanted their own tank .lol.
this is a gift for someone to instill the love of the saltwater world.

there is a fair amount of interest..so what I will do, you have until 6 pm on Sunday Mar 12 to submit your kids name or your name if you are a teacher...then I do a draw for the winner..that way it is fair for everyone.

I have some equipment up for sale.
g4 xr15 - about 3 to 4 years use at less than 50 percent..several available. 250 each - 450 for 2. 600 for 3.
g4 xr30 - around 4 years use. 1000 for the 3..will include custom hanger if wanted.
everything works and will be reset prior to purchase..but like everything else you buy used- no warranty is implied.
I have a bunch of other equipment that I will need to start purging soon as well.

IMPORTANT NEWS (and hopefully exciting as well...lol)
I just wanted to let everyone know that there has been a slight change in the forecast for Marine Experience. I have been able to come up with some agreements with my suppliers and with my bank that will make moving down a different path now a possibility.
Therefore, we will not be closing at this time. At the very least moving forward, I will continue with the dry goods/equipment through our website and I am considering to still have fish/inverts and corals and run out of my garage on weekends as well.
please let me know your thoughts about staying open on weekends for livestock?
Business has been incredibly slow and I don't suspect that to change much but just wondering what my remaining customers are thinking? do you plan on shutting down soon? etc

sorry for the bad job at recording, but wanted to share the video of our blue spotted Ray being released into our 12 foot display tank. side note - we will be removing some rock work from both end of the sides to ensure that there is space for it to hang out in.

after a few days and trying differnt foods, we are having great success at getting our new Ray to eat. He likes Squid tentacles apparently. He is currently in a tank in the back but will be moved soon into our display.

4 days ago my water line heater malfunctioned and my water line burst in my new garage that i am building in -30 degrees. unfortunately everything is covered in ice including my utility trench. I realize I said that we would be open Tuesdays but it is the last warm day of the year when I can hope to get the necessary work done before next year as we quickly go down in temperature. I am truly sorry for any inconvenience but marine experience will be closed on Tuesday December 21.

I could not see any movement in the egg sack so I cut it open fearing the worse...but lo and behold it lives. It is a Arabian Bamboo coral shark and is about 4 inches on and is now a resident of our 12 foot 700 gallon display. BTW - please don't mind the algae - took a while to figure out the light timer was broken and the lights were staying on for 20 hours a day which lead to a wee bit of an outbreak.

I am slowly filling our big 12 foot - 700 gallon - display tank with more fish and wanted to add a shark. no easier way than doing so through an egg. it is an Arabian Bamboo Shark. they get about 70 cm in length. you can see the shark moving attached to the top of the yolk...it takes about 70 to 80 days to hatch. things like this are what make this hobby amazing.

this is truly a magnificent fish. 6 inches long and was eating frozen and pecking at rocks literally within a minute of leaving the bag.

something freaking cool landed at the store last night. they are not for sale. they are dwarf cuttlefish they will be staying here for people to see their amazingness.

the newest coolest thing in my store. holds two world records. fastest strike of any animal. most advanced eyeball on the planet. now our store mascot.
