Cage-Free Dog Resuce
Over 1,000 dogs are cared for & loved at this special cage-free dog sanctuary in Costa Rica! And one of them represented Costa Rica in #PuppyBowlXV!
A happy ending for a Wednesday! 🐱
The very sweet and attention loving Pogo Ball was presented to us with vomiting, diarrhea and not eating much since coming into Infinite Woofs Animal Rescue Society's care. Bloodwork was done and everything seemed fine, but still a very sick cat.
Infinite Woofs opted for an ultrasound to further investigate and behold, a mass was found! Could this be the little amount of kibble that he did eat, or something more sinister?
Pogo Ball was prepared for exploratory surgery right away. Once in surgery we found part of his intestine to be dead, and removed, and inside was a piece of foam from a tub toy!! Then on further investigation another blockage was found which appears to be a big hair ball (too big to pass without assistance!).
The surgery was just the first step to recovery and the following 24 hours would be tough for him. Prognosis was guarded but this guy is a fighter, and everyone is wishing for the best for him!
A few hours after surgery he perked up and moved around his kennel a little and of course, wanted love attention so started to meow at the staff!
This morning everyone was prepared for what they might find, and here he is!! Walking around, meowing, getting ALL the love and attention he could need! He’s even eating a little!
Follow his recovery, he should be fit and healthy enough to find his forever home soon!
What an incredible success story for Pogo Ball, Infinite Woofs and for us here at Oxford Animal Hospital.
Meet Talva a beautiful English Bulldog who came in to get a Doggy Pedicure. She was so happy that I got to get Doggy Paw Shakes.
Oxford Animal Hospital are happy to announce our survivor which is now named Fighter. The Rescue Infinite WOOFS Animal Rescue Society brought in two mom dogs with seven puppies, but one needed immediate attention. Our team did a great job and now Fighter will get a chance to be adopted.
