WHAT YOU NEED TO KNOW:
The Years of Knowledge, Experience, and Credibility of Fred Duke
Fred Duke has had much success in his riding career and as an equine entrepreneur. Without bragging too much, I will boast just a little about his success and expertise in the industry! A few names you may have heard before, and if not, you should research further on the legacy of these horses all trained by,
Fred Duke himself. Duke won the COCC (Canadian Open Cutting Championship) on, Diane Kelabar twice. Later, training an amateur rider to ride the same mare, together they won the COCC twice over with Fred's instruction, coaching, and training knowledge. Diane Kelabar was then inducted into the Canadian Cutting Horse Hall of Fame with Fred's knowledge and leadership! Duke again won the COCC with, War Mico. Around that time, he also trained, Doc Twister and rode him to become the top cutting horse in Canada! As former President of the Canadian Cutting Horse Association, Fred had the pleasure of taking cutting horses to England for a command performance organized by, Prince Philip for, Queen Elizabeth. She was thrilled with the athletic performance exuded by these animals in this discipline of riding. Cutting, as an equine sport, has grown worldwide. Duke has ridden cutting horses to "Top Ten" positions fourteen times, including four Canadian Champions and two Reserve Champions. Fred Duke won the CRC (Canadian Roping Championship) on, Cindy Echols. Under his saddle and training ability, this great mare was nominated Best Rope Horse in Canada that same year! When seeking jumping horse training as well as coaching, consider Dukes history producing talented, athletic horses and giving amateurs the skills required to ride to championships. He has been to Europe and assessed how stallions are selected for breeding Jumpers and met with the best trainers there. Although no longer continuing breeding programs at Duke Ranches Ltd, over the years he has studied pedigrees, conformations, and mental ability of stallions to match great English and Western mares. Fred has trained many jumping horses over the years, one of which, Ebony Buzz was a three-time Canadian Junior Champion! He trained many horses to show at Spruce Meadows in all five rings! As The Duke would say, "Don't say I don't know anything about jumping horses". Simply put and not to be underestimated. This man has achieved some great accomplishments. He can take you, and your horse however far you would like to go in any discipline of riding with his great life experiences to prove it!
