Did you know that pets that have, or are prone to arthritis (like this dachshund here😉) can benefit greatly from nutraceuticals?
Nutraceuticals are defined as any substance of/from food that provides medical or health benefits.
In pets they can be used to help slow the progression of joint disease or reduce inflammation.
We recommend glucosamine & chondroitin supplements or omega 3 fatty acids, as they help to inhibit cartilage breakdown and support joint fluid production and health. Often their use can prevent or reduce the need for additional pain control medications. 🐕
Dasuquin Advanced has been shown to reduce inflammation and help support your pet’s joints. It has glucosamine and chondroitin, as well as other anti-inflammatory nutraceuticals, such as soybean and green tea extracts, which have been shown to work better for joint support than glucosamine and chondroitin alone 🦴
Additionally Omega 3 fatty acids from fish oils, such as Allerg 3, have been shown to be helpful in decreasing inflammation and pain associated with arthritis. They also maintain a healthy skin and coat, as well as supporting kidney and heart function 🫀
Remember that not all products are the same, or work the same in all pets. If you have any questions about using nutraceuticals for your pets, please contact our office for more information 🐾
