If you find a growth on your dog - it may be completely harmless, and best option is to just leave it alone and let it resolve on it's own.
Pictured below is a client of ours who had such a growth, photos are one month apart and it went away all by itself.
If you would like a little bit more info about these growths please check link below, and always consult with your vet if you have any questions.

Missing Cat Alert
Minnie has gone missing from 1409 Gervais Rd. - should anyone in the area happen to have seen her, live or dead, please let me know. She was around Thursday afternoon last week and thatโs the last I specifically remember seeing her- she was a rescued stray and her determination to be outside was unstoppable but she never disappeared for long and after walking the bush and road and talking to neighbors Iโm assuming a coyote is the culprit. Such a great cat - sorely missed.
If you have any info please contact the owner at [email protected]
We just found this sweet little guy outside of the clinic - he is very friendly - not microchipped/neutered - please let us know if you recognize this kitty - he is very affectionate and most likely has a home out there that is missing him ๐
Welcome to our new patient Geisha - she has the cutest little smile ๐ฅฐ

This lovely duo is looking for a new place to call home.
Hunter and Cooper who are bonded brothers and are a year and a half in age are needing a new home. We love our dogs however due to personal circumstances we are unable to keep them. They need a home with a fenced yard and with someone who is home during the day. They are wonderful golden retrievers who love to play and swim.
Call or text Roxanne at 705-507-1489 for more information.

Looking at this video makes us itchy! Although they can look frightening with their alligator-shaped bodies, Demodex is a type of skin mite that is found in small quantities on all healthy dogs. The mite lives on hair follicles and sebaceous glands of all dogs and is a healthy part of skin function in small numbers. However, when there are other health problems present, Demodex can spread to abnormal areas (like in this case) or can multiply in high quantities, overwhelming the system. In the case of the photo below, this Demodex mite was found deep inside a dogโs ear canal (VERY rare!), and was causing itchiness, ear flapping and head shaking. Adult-onset generalized demodicosis is often associated with an underlying disease that has suppressed the immune system (such as cancer, Cushing disease, hypothyroidism, or diabetes). Untreated Demodex infestation can cause hair loss, reddened and swollen skin, raised lumps that look like acne, and scabs. Other signs can include enlarged lymph nodes, lethargy, fever, inflamed foot pads, and pus-filled inflammation of the deeper layers of skin. Bottom line: if your dogโs ears are bothering him or her, better get it checked out! The right medications can control the infestation and the symptoms and get your pup back to normal.
