Removal of Tick on FELINE Patient

Ticks are back! This is a tick that we have removed from a patient this season. It’s an Ixodes Scapularis which is the species of tick that carries Lyme Disease. We removed this tick off of a FELINE patient. While it is more uncommon to find ticks on cats, it’s not impossible. For more information on flea and tick prevention for your feline family member, please give us a call. 519-846-8400 We are open: Mon, Wed & Fri 8:30-4:30 Tues & Thurs 8:30-7 Sat 8:30-12:30 Please note we are closed 12-1 daily for lunch and will not be answering phones during this time.

Some of our clients have had the pleasure of meeting Lisa one of our RVT's, while she only joined us for the summer months she left an impression on everyone she met. Today was Lisa's last day with us as she is entering into her 3rd year at OVC and will soon be Dr. Lisa! Holly our old girl was spoiled by her 'Auntie' Lisa today... Lisa has aptly named her 'Baby Shamu', and we think these 2 will miss each other. Lisa we wish you all the best
