As a proud alumni of North Halton Kitten Rescue, where I was rehomed at this great barn, I’ve been asked to find a morning barn worker. I was placed as a feral barn cat but quickly promoted to live upstairs, not working, but observing. And we need a morning human worker to work Monday – Friday 8:30 – 12:30 ish. The humans love it here as well, but the last worker was also apparently rehomed after years of working here – I overheard to get married. I guess kittens will be next for her.
I see that it’s an easy job – Duties include: leading out 12 rather dim and non-opinionated horses, cleaning stalls and providing hay and water. And sweeping. The boss does the early morning feeding, which human workers at other barns often complain about… the early start, washing buckets – we cats hear you! But this place is relaxed. You can work at your own pace- or some work quickly (why?). Well behaved dogs are welcomed (meaning, they don’t chase us cats nor p*e on the hay).
We also have a lovely stall becoming available July 1st if a human wanted to bring their horse and work off Board.
If interested, please respond with a PM – or if you are ready to come by for a visit– text at 519-620-8112. Ideal for a Georgetown or Erin resident – humans complain about gas prices so it is best to be close. Please respond as rumor has it, the dog gets a chance at the ad next week.
