During the summer season, high temperatures and intense humidity pose potential risks to both humans and pets. Managing these escalating conditions can be challenging. However, there are measures that can be taken to ensure the safety and comfort of your pets during this period. 🌡☀️

Proper hydration and the consumption of fluids is key to staying healthy! Water plays an integral part in the function of every body system, including the heart, kidneys, brain, muscles and even the skin. Without water, our bodies could not carry needed nutrients to cells, nor could we flush bacteria and other waste products. The same applies for your furry friend! 💧

When planning a hike with your pet, it's crucial to consider their hydration needs. Always pack additional water and schedule regular intervals for rest and rejuvenation. 🐾

Do you have a picky feline?

We completely understand! Cats can be set in their ways, especially when it comes to their food bowl. 🐈🍽

Here are some helpful tips to help you and your kitty along your raw feeding journey.

1) Try mixing the raw blend with your cat's favourite canned food. Start with ¼ raw food and ¾ canned food and gradually reduce the canned food until you are feeding an entirely raw diet.

2) Offer your cat some smaller, more frequent meals.

3) Switch up your proteins. After all, some cats have a very sophisticated palate. 😉

Raw Meaty Bones VS Recreational Bones.

Did you know that raw bones come in two varieties? Raw Meaty Bones (RMBs) and Recreational Bones.

Bold by Nature offers both! 😉

Raw Meaty Bones are bones that are covered in thick layers of muscle and connective tissue; think turkey necks, chicken necks, and chicken feet. In the wild, dogs and cats require bones to provide nutrients crucial to their overall health. 🐕 💪

Recreational Bones are generalized as weight-bearing bones found in the legs of large, grazing animals like cows. Recreational Bones are meant to only be chewed on and not entirely consumed. They are perfect for keeping pets entertained for long periods of time. Beef marrow and beef knuckle bones are both considered recreational bones. 🐕 🦴

Whether you like to savor some Irish delicacies, wear your best green clothes, or want to party for the occasion, we’d like to take the opportunity to remind you that some pets are not as comfortable in party settings as we are. 🎉🐶🐱

Here are some tips and tricks to help your pets if you’re expecting guests at home:

👉Set up a quiet place for your pets to go if they get overwhelmed (make sure to provide this little nook with their bed, favorite toys, and fresh water)

👉Give your pets something to do! Provide them with recreational bones or a frozen Kong to keep them busy and happy.

👉Check on your pets throughout the evening! Make sure they are still comfortable and provide them with treats to reward good behaviors.

👉Educate your guests - especially if your pets are prone to high levels of anxiety. Let them know to give your pets some space and not force interactions.

✨️If your pets suffer from high levels of anxiety, placing a plug-in pheromone dispenser can help create a calm zone where pets feel relaxed. 😌
