🚨Available 🚨 Selling for a friend/client

Rumour is a 16.1HH 2010 Bay OTTB gelding who is in search of a new home, no fault of his own. With a quiet demeanor and a push style ride he is amateur friendly. Rumour has been schooled over and (we believe) been shown previously in 2'6" courses without issue. Rumour has no stop at the fences and generally catches his lead changes. He has been used in lessons and ridden by youth, and is a gentleman to work around. Rumour is up to date on vet and farrier work, clean legged and only physical flaw is a bony projection on his lower jaw which has been cleared by the vet as strictly cosmetic. We are looking to find him a partner that will enjoy him, and ideally explore his potential more as a hunter/jumper.

Top Notch Equestrian has an opening for an English Riding Instructor. We are looking for experienced individuals to coach and train riders from beginner to advanced. Preference will be given to instructors that can bring students to shows and host shows at our facility.

Hello Everyone, this is an announcement about our feed program. With costs set to rise significantly at the end of the month, we will be changing our feed program. These changes will take effect in 30 days from today. We have decided to keep the Purina Xcel HD as the staple grain in our program as well as the alfalfa for the hard keepers, however we will be dropping the supplement Optimal as well as the Beet pulp and Simplicity Original from the program. If you would like to continue adding the beet pulp and optimal to your horses rations we will have to charge an additional fee. Once the feed prices are raised at the end of the month we will be able to advise on what that cost would be, however, we have decided to keep the Xcel as it does include beet pulp and all the minerals already. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out to me.

Hello everyone, with the new Covid restrictions in place we ask that when you come to the barn, please only bring yourself for now. We know you want to show off your horse but guests will have to wait until the restrictions are lifted. Also lessons will be canceled until the restrictions are lifted as well. We hope this will pass us by quickly and we can get back to normal soon, until then stay safe.

Are you new to horses and want to learn how to ride a horse? An experienced rider looking to get better in a specific discipline? Want to ride on premium fibre footing in a winter heated arena?

We are Top Notch Equestrian, a new boarding and riding facility located just off the Arner Townline in Essex, and we have openings for anyone interested in taking riding lessons. We offer lessons in Hunter/Jumper/Equitation as well as English and Western dressage. Unlike other riding schools, we follow the Ontario Equestrian riding program, so you will have a definitive pathway to success that can be measured to help you achieve your goals and ambitions. We also offer child, teen and adult beginner lessons for those just starting out, or anyone wanting a refresher course.
Group lessons are $45 + HST per person for an hour, and private lessons are $60+HST per person for an hour. This includes use of the horse, tack and grooming supplies.
