Boundary Ranch is an exceptional location to discover the adventure and serenity of the Canadian Rockies. Embark on horseback to explore the scenic backcountry trails with captivating nature and mountain views. Guided rides are suitable for guests 6-106 years of age, all riding levels and expe
rience. Groups/Tours can also book on-site activities including barbeques, western dances, staged gunfights, Wild West Rodeos, wagon/sleigh rides and more! The Western Entertainment Centre open year round includes meeting and banquet facilities; seasonally we also offer a restaurant and gift shop too! Activities are operated throughout the year, though some programs operate seasonally and some are exclusive to group bookings. All programs and activities require reservations. We bid farewell to a legend of the trails and a beloved member of our Boundary Ranch family. Dave, our rough and humble Barn Boss and wagon driver, has left a lasting mark on our hearts and the land he loved. Dave was more than our Barn Boss; he was a mentor, a friend, and a family member to us all. With over 30 years of dedication at Boundary Ranch, his hands, calloused from tending to our four-legged companions, knew the language, and had a gift for understanding and speaking to horses. Under his guidance, novice riders became seasoned adventurers, and seasoned riders found new depths of understanding and respect for these magnificent creatures. Beyond his expertise with horses, Dave's kind heart, warm smile, and love for his family were evident in everything he did. He spent countless hours driving wedding carriages with Dan the horse, riding his mare and many mules, and breaking teams and horses, including some favorites like Cody and Custer, Bonnie and Clyde, and Barney and Fred. His life was intertwined with horses. He loved exploring the countryside on horseback, even on his days off. Dave's passion for horses and the outdoors was unwavering. As we remember and honor Dave, let us celebrate the legacy he leaves behind. His spirit rides on in every hoofbeat and in the bond between rider and steed. Rest easy, dear Dave, knowing your memory will forever be cherished in the mountains of Kananaskis Country and the open skies of Boundary Ranch. Thank you for your unwavering dedication, your wisdom, and the trails we have travelled together. You will be deeply missed and always remembered. Ride on in peace, cowboy.
