Ruby looks quite pleased with herself after delivering 4 beautiful girls in quick succession this morning, after only a couple of hours of labour. And we're thrilled that for once we weren't up all night long!!! Now to contact the people on our waiting list, most of whom were anxiously waiting for boys....

What are the odds??? Last year Stella went into labour June 30th and delivered 7 puppies. This year, Stella went into labour June 30 and delivered 7 puppies. 😲😲All we can say is ... Wow! Mom & babies doing well so far -- Happy Canada Day! Everyone on our waiting list gets the puppy they're looking for and we even have a couple extra.

Another emergency in the middle of the night. Another race to get to the clinic 90 km away in time. Another c-section. And — whew! — another happy outcome with mom Pearl and her 5 little ones all healthy & doing well. Thanks again to the amazing reproduction specialists & staff at Graham Animal Hospital. They’re one of the few clinics who still have after hours vets on call; a vital service for breeders because emergencies never seem to happen 9-5 Mon-Fri.

AVAILABLE: We have 1 boy & 2 girls available born April 19 and ready to go home June 21 or later. They're scheduled for their vet checkup and vaccinations June 14. These puppies have had their temperament testing and all are lively, friendly, outgoing, playful & energetic. They're not shy about asking for attention and cuddles & are very focused on their people. They also tested as submissive and should be easy to train. These puppies are ready for adventure and fun! It's flea and tick season again & pet owners are searching for ways to keep their pets safe. It's a very difficult decision because, after all, flea & tick medications are poisons (usually neurotoxins) and can cause adverse & even fatal reactions. But doing nothing can also be harmful, especially with Lyme Disease becoming more common. So do your research and monitor your pet for reactions after administering flea medication! We stick to the more "old-school" medications that we know have been safe for our dogs for more than 20 years. We use Revolution as well as a combination of lufenuron/nitenpyram. In addition, we keep our dogs' coats cut short in the summer, monitor daily for ticks and use a variety of organic methods to try to repel fleas & ticks such as shampoos containing lavender/lemongrass/citronella/cedar oil. We spread diotomaceous earth around their bedding and along baseboards etc. Unfortunately, the old class of flea treatements isn't effective against the tick that causes Lyme Disease. But the new class of flea treatments that contains the active ingredients to kill those ticks also has the most serious potential reactions! UPDATE: This boy has now found his perfect forever home with a loving family. We're so grateful for all the responses from amazing potential adopters. Thank you to everyone for your interest and kind words! FYI we're expecting puppies again at the end of June and have availability on our reservation list.

We have a very sweet boy available due to a last-minute cancellation. Ready to go home on or after June 8. He thoroughly enjoyed Puppy Yoga and was friendly & confident. But he's definitely a lower-energy puppy who prefers to walk rather than run, and loves nothing better than to fall asleep in your arms after a good belly rub. He's very easy going -- nothing bothers this chill little guy who will be happy to go anywhere with his family. He'll play tug-of-war with a toy, but isn't much interested in fetching. He's gentle with children and doesn't play rough. He passed his vet exam with no issues noted and has had his first vaccinations. Couldn't wait to post this video of our puppies at yoga in Markham. Their little tails never stopped wagging and they had tons of fun!
