WE HAVE BIG NEWS!!!!

We are happy to announce that Barkhouse Pet is about to double it's size and triple our groom room to serve you better! We are so excited to have more space for all the awesome pet products and amazing pet foods!!! We've been pretty squished in here as we've been growing! We hope to open the new side of the store in early September, with construction beginning in the later half of August, but we will remain open the whole time! Can't wait to see how it all comes together and looking forward to more space!!
We hope to have a grand re-opening in early September! We will keep you all posted!

Here’s why we should consider an alternative to traditional fireworks:

Fear and Stress for Pets: Our furry companions, especially dogs and cats, often find fireworks terrifying. The sudden loud noises and bright flashes can cause anxiety, panic, and even health issues. To keep our pets safe, it’s best to leave them indoors during firework displays, preferably with a radio or TV turned on to soften the jarring sounds.

Wildlife in Distress: Beyond our homes, wildlife also suffers during fireworks. Predatory birds, like bald eagles, perceive the harsh sounds and lights as threats, leading them to abandon nests or habitats. Other birds may take off en masse, depleting vital energy reserves needed for survival. The harmful ingredients in fireworks, such as ozone and sulfur dioxide, can harm their cardiovascular and respiratory systems.

Environmental Impact: Fireworks casings and heavy metals littered on the ground are often consumed by wildlife, posing choking hazards or toxicity risks. Additionally, pollutants from fireworks can contaminate waterways, affecting animals that rely on clean water. In regions prone to wildfires, even a tiny ember from a firework display can ignite devastating blazes, harming wildlife and destroying habitats.

A Compassionate Alternative: Instead of spending money on fireworks, consider donating to your local animal shelter. Your contribution can make a real difference in caring for abandoned or injured animals. Whether it’s providing food, medical care, or shelter, your support helps create a safer and more compassionate world for both pets and wildlife.

Duties :
- Grooming dogs and some cats (though cat grooming not required) according to specific breed standards and customer wishes
- Bathe, blow dry, clip, brush, ear cleaning and clip nails
- Ensuring the safety and well-being of all pets during the grooming process
- Keeping a well-maintained, clean, safe and organized working area
- Being an excellent example of customer service by addressing customer concerns and wants

Experience in grooming is required
