Highland Hounds Journey 💫

In March 2017, a little dream of mine came to life, starting with handcrafted and hand-dyed cotton rope leashes and collars. Over time, that dream grew into creating custom biothane products, and what an incredible journey it has been!

I never could have imagined the love and support that Highland Hounds would receive. Along the way, I’ve had the privilege of meeting so many incredible humans and their furry companions. I’m also deeply thankful for the amazing stockists who believed in my vision and helped share Highland Hounds with their clients/customers.

I’ve made a big decision after much thought and reflection. It’s time for me to retire or pass on the reins of Highland Hounds to someone who shares the same passion for crafting high-quality, handmade products for our furry companions.

This decision comes with a mix of emotions, but above all, immense gratitude for each and every one of you who supported my small business over the years.

If you or someone you know might be interested in continuing this adventure, please feel free to reach out, I’d love to chat!

As I begin to welcome the first couple of months in 2025, I want to let you know that orders will still be received during this time. Whether you’re looking to snag one of your favorite handcrafted pieces or try something new, I’m here to ensure your furry friends are taken care of.

Meet Lisa!

Lisa has been an essential part of the Barkhouse Pet team for 3 years.

She has 25+ years of grooming experience and enjoys the relationships and trust she builds with the dogs she grooms.

She has worked in many other dog/animal related fields. She has worked in kennels, stables, and farms; with guard dogs, sled dogs, and small and exotic pets; with the humane society and wildlife.

Lisa loves all dogs, but big dogs are her favourite. She has a great dane named Zuko.

We LOVE Lisa at Barkhouse Pet!!!
