It's been a week since surgery. Everything is healing well!🎉🎊....and of course I am getting a little bored already but cannot do much of anything until mid September.....so, why not have a draw!
I realized, that I have not had a draw this year for my favorite charity. To celebrate the end of my breast cancer journey 🤞🤞🤞, and support Trail Ride for Breast Cancer I am going to hold a draw.
You can choose from anything I make, or use the credit for your blanket cleaning/repairs/waterproofing!
Dash will pick a name on October 1st, to kick off Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Tickets will be $10 each. Etransfers to [email protected] or $ if you are local.
The prize will be a $300 credit for anything done by myself at Rabbit Run Repairs and customs.
As with previous draws...anything paid for, deposits, etc. that have been made after you buy a ticket, can be credited if you win.
$300 is enough for:
A Riding Skirt with alot of bells and whistles
3 sets of Fly boots
2 large Ground Grazers and 2 small Ground Grazers
15 pairs of heavy duty leg straps

I have been getting some messages, and this post is a little vague!
Most of you know, that I was diagnosed with breast cancer early 2021. I have gone through chemo, 3 surgeries and radiation. Thursday is my last surgery, and I will hopefully be done this chapter in my life!!!
Duchess is showing that you don't have to get your fly boots in all the same trim colors! Heck...you don't have to get the same mesh colors either!!
A HUGE Thank you to Leasa who came and helped cut out a bunch of Ground Grazers and Fly Boots to finish off orders before I am off next week. Couldn't have done it without you!!
Grooming for a friend today. The neighbor trailer has a set of my fly boots, and a set from a competitor...so I was able to get some feedback and comparisons. This is always appreciated, as I am always trying to improve my products!
If anyone has feedback, concerns, ideas for improvements, wants me to just stop improving my products...please let me know!!

The Camo/Red fly boots are a custom set for a dainty arab, who is between a small and yearling in size, and allergic to wool...this is the benefit of buying local, hand made items...I can make them to suit your needs!!
Mom does not appreciate the "help" I am providing today. She does not need her supplies for fly boots beside her...the floor is much handier!!

I got a surgery date. I will officially be closed from August 15th to September 26th.
I may be able to sew smaller things a couple weeks before the 26th, but no guarantees.
I will be concentrating mainly on blankets for the next 3 weeks, and accepting very few orders until the end of September.

All orders that are in line, will be done in the next couple of days, and then it will be completely blankets for the next 2 weeks!!!

If you still have blankets in a pile at the barn, please bring them in asap, as I will be having surgery...hopefully my last one 🤞... in August/September, and will need 4-6 weeks for recovery. Which means No Sewing!
All blankets brought in after Sept 15th, will be subject to late fees, at my discretion.
Yay!!! I finally got to use my flower trim on fly boots, and it looks awesome!! And had another client mix and match the colors for her set...fun day in the shop!
And you may have noticed...I have changed to 2" velcro on one side, so there is a little more adjustment for sizing!

It was another fly boot day, plus minor repairs....between being water girl for the event on the farm. Busy day but fun!
I just finished 2 sets of pads for a Heraldic Saddle...Royal Blue and Black with Pink trim. It's been awhile since I made these...I do have a few pairs available in Black!!

The grey ones are a custom size for a big horse!
The pink ones are size small with 2" velcro, for a sneaky horse, who likes to take theirs off. No appreciation!!

So...I filled my first large Ground Grazer from a round bale this morning...if my scale is correct, it holds 25-30 pounds of hay. The small Ground Grazers hold approx 8pounds of hay. I am now considering changing the design, and putting the opening on the short side, instead of the long side I found it a bit annoying to fill it full, and get the velcro closed. 🤔 I switched the small Ground Grazers opening to the long side as well...but filling my older style is pretty easy. Any thoughts from people who have filled them alot more then I have?
A little long...but I thought I would show an easy way to fill a small Ground Grazer, with hay from a round bale! It took approximately 3 minutes to fill 3 bags!

Yes, I look like a hot mess...but I am pretty toasty in my skirt! This one was a trial run, Half Circle Skirt with front and back zippers. I DO NOT like doing zippers, so it was the only one I made, and it is not adjustable in the waist at all. If I made one like it again, it would not have the zippers and would have more of an overlap in front for coverage....so it could be adjustable, and no hated zippers!
