The Carleton County Flyball clubs are looking to start offering Flyball classes for the winter! Classes will be twice a month on Saturday mornings in Florenceville-Bristol, and we are looking to take 4-6 new members. If this interests you, don't hesitate to contact me by messenger to be added to our list! Serious enquiries only, please, as it does require a commitment to train and attend practices.
The Carleton County Flyball Club is looking for volunteers line judge at our tournament at the Northern Carleton Civic Centre, August 26 & 27. This job would be perfect for anyone wanting to get up close and personal to the action and see some amazing racing! And no need to worry we will train you on the spot and have someone with you until you feel comfortable. Please feel free to reach out if you are interested! 🎾🐾
We are excited to announce that Carol Anne’s Dog Grooming & Training will now be offering RATS! Canada Intro and Novice Barn Ratting and Brush Hunt workshops! This is a great sport for any dog of any age puppy to senior as it doesn’t require any at home training. It is also the perfect sport for shy and reactive dogs as they won’t come into contact with any other dogs.
In the Intro workshop your dog will first get the chance to meet the rat in a live cage to build interest then in the PVC tube where the rat will be kept safe during the games. Next you and your dog will get the chance to try out the two official RATS! Canada games! In Brush Hunt your dog must find a rat, hidden in the “brush” (8 bales of hay). When they have indicated that they have found it the judge will call rat. In Barn Ratting the dog must find the rat hidden in one of three tubes. Once you think they’ve found it you will call rat and the judge will let you know if you’re correct.
The Novice workshops are for those who have already tried the Intro workshops and want to spend more time working on just the games and perfecting their skills!
Workshop Dates are as follows:
January 17, 6:00-800 (Intro to Barn and Brush)
January 18, 6:00-8:00 (Intro to Barn and Brush)

So proud of DASH, she still loves to play Flyball! She has not played since she was ran over by a car. That broke her shoulder, collapsed lung, and all her intestines & bowels hanging out through her stomach muscle.
At practice today she gave it her best!
