Good morning!

We would love to introduce the newest member of the Bark! Boutique family.

Everyone meet Clover!

She was born Sunday May 29th at home and is absolutely perfect! Everyone is so in love and Calla is the best, proudest big sister.

Today is our first day back to the shop, so we just want to give everyone a heads up that times may delayed as we navigate juggling a full work schedule, a newborn and a toddler.

We cannot wait for everyone to meet her. ❤️

If your dog is in need of nail trimming, please call or text me at 289-690-2275 to book your time slot.

We will be trying to fit in as many nail trim appointments as we can in a day (while abiding by the rules we were given). We want to avoid the dogs getting curled, cracked or broken nails as much as we can.

Also we are keeping our fingers crossed tightly that Premier Fords announcement today will shed some light on when we can fully open back up! 🤞

Good afternoon!

Just wanted to post an update since my phone has been blowing up since 9am!

There have been some changes made to the protocols surrounding grooming services.

PLEASE NOTE: This is not a free pass for us to open up for business as usual. These new rules only grant us permission to provide services for EMERGENCY grooms only. (Ex: dogs who are severely matted and require full (to the skin) shave downs, overgrown/ curled nails causing pain and joint issues, etc). Basically if your dogs coat condition could require veterinary care or get you reported to the spca, we can see you! Regular fluff and puff grooming will unfortunately have to wait longer.

We are also only permitted to have 1 dog in the boutique at any given time.

I know you are all excited to get your dogs in and back on schedule but please be patient with us as our hands are still pretty tied. It is a great start towards hopefully getting back to normal business and will help those dogs who are really in need.

If you have any questions as to whether your dogs condition qualifies as needing a health and welfare groom please contact me via call or text only.

It is taking a while to sort through all emails, fb messages as well as voicemail and text so I will be solely focusing on voicemail and texts for now.

Thank you so much for your understanding and patience. You are all truly the best clients we could ask for!

Happy New Year!! We hope everyone had a safe, happy and healthy holiday season.

As most know, we were scheduled to be closed from December 23rd - January 6th.

Unfortunately, we will be closed for even longer. We have been made to close as part of the provincial wide shutdown.

They amended the part in the list of rules and regulations that previously deemed us essential under the grey/lockdown tier.

I have emailed Pelham by-law and they confirmed they we did in fact have to close.

I'm hoping it will only be the scheduled 28 days and not 7 weeks like previously.

I will be contacting everyone who will have a scheduled appointment affected by this within the next 2 days.

Thank you all for being the best clients a girl could ask for. You made 2020 a great year despite its setbacks and I could not feel more fortunate for all of you!

Hope to see you sooner rather than later!

Hey everyone!!

Just a little update.

I am slowly getting through our list of dogs who need rescheduling. Just want to remind you all that if you have missed an appointment you WILL be getting a call with a new date, I 1000% positively, absolutely promise! I'm working as fast as I can, including coming home from work and doing client calls until it's time for bed.

I just wanted to thank everyone for their patience.

Also just wanted to let everyone know that at this time we are NOT offering walk in services such as face trims, nail trims etc.

We are however still offering nail trimming by appointment.

We are also not accepting any new clients at this time. Our top priority is rescheduling all those appointments that were affected by the closure.

We are all pretty tired over here but it is so good to be back! It almost feels like going through the Christmas rush X 100. 🤣

All of our clients are amazing and we couldn't have gotten through this without knowing that you were all rooting and waiting for us! ❤

Hearing all of your excited voices when I call to reschedule makes this all worth it. Well, that and of course seeing the dogs because let's face it, that's what we are here for. 🐾

UPDATE!!!!

We received permission to open!!! We will be contacting everyone who has missed appointments to set up new ones. Please be patient with us, there are ALOT of you!

If you had missed an appointment dont worry, you are on the list, we WILL be contacting you, no need to call us.

At this time we will not be booking any NEW appointments, we need to catch up first. We will also not be providing any walk in services, if you need a nail trim please give us a call and we will set up a time for you.

We know you all want to get in as soon as possible and we will do our best to make that happen, but please be respectful and patient with us as we navigate this reopening.

Just an update for where we are at!

Currently closed until May 19th. We do miss you all terribly and I am trying my best to get open and ready for you all.

We are sad to announce that as of midnight tonight Bark! Boutique will be closed for the next 14 days to be in compliance with the order released for Ontario by the Premier. Even though this is temporary, it is not easy to close up shop for a possibly undetermined amount of time.

As much as we feel like we are an essential part of your pets lives, we unfortunately did not make the list of essential businesses to remain open. We are going to miss you all terribly, but we need to do our part and to help stop the spread of COVID-19.

All clients who were scheduled to have appointments during this time frame will be contacted over the next couple of days to discuss rescheduling. We hope to see all our favorite furry faces after Easter!

Please stay home, wash your hands and dont forget to brush your dogs. We can fight this together.

In the midst of this difficult time in regards to COVID-19, we would like to to address concerns about our operations.

We are open for business as usual, however the health and safety of not only us but our valued clients is of utmost importance to us. To do our part in decreasing the spread of COVID-19 we have taken some precautionary measures and have made some changes to our protocols.

-We are cleaning and disinfecting between each dog/client that comes into the boutique. This may increase the length of time that your dog is with us. Please bear with us as we are only two people and are doing our best to provide a clean, safe, low risk environment as well as running business as usual.
-We usually like to use gentle cleaners in the boutique since we have dogs coming in and out, however at this time we will be using stronger, industrial cleaners and often.
-We ask that if you have traveled, been in contact with someone who has recently traveled or are feeling unwell that you either reschedule your appointment or make arrangements for someone else to drop off/pick up your pet.
-To reduce unnecessary foot traffic we are asking that only 1 person accompany the dog to and from their appointment, and that anybody looking to just book an appointment or get information either call or text rather than coming into the boutique.
-At this time, no client will be allowed past the reception area and our bathroom will be for staff only.

We thank you for your co-operation during this crazy time and will update when/if needed.
