We offer subscription delivery, retail and wholesale microgreens. We value community, sustainability, and transparency. Owned and operated by Ellen Brown and Danielle Wouters in Forest, Ontario, servicing Lambton County, we are two farming wives and moms hell-bent on spending our days working in the soil, producing fresh, wholesome nutrition for our families and community year-round. We do our bes
t to strive for zero-waste initiatives, including a recent move to plant-based compostable retail containers, and in November 2022 will be moving to completely zero-waste production and packaging with reusable containers for our home delivery service. We offer a weekly home delivery subscription service to our community from November to June, and are partnered with numerous retailers, health and wellness studios, and local chefs year-round. Indoor farming allows us to grow micros and feed our community 365 days a year regardless of the seasonal temperature, wind, humidity or daylight hours. It also mitigates pests and any need for harmful chemicals in our growth practices, so while we are not yet certified organic, we use organic seed, fresh soil aggregates, and good old fashioned water to fuel our microgreens. We talked and dreamt about turning our microgreens passion into a legitimate business for a long time before finally taking the plunge in July 2021. The world was in a precarious state with supply chains disrupted, and people panicking about food shortages across the country. The importance of local sustainability and community connection became explicitly heightened for us, and we knew we needed to do something to contribute to diversifying the communityβs local business scene.
