Happy New Year, everyone!

I just want to take a moment to express my heartfelt thanks for all the kindness, gifts, cards, and encouraging words you shared over the holiday season. Your thoughtfulness truly made my days brighter and lifted my spirits! I genuinely wish I could spread that kindness back to you all. I hope you had a wonderful holiday time!

I’m excited to share some new changes and services we're rolling out this year! Starting January 2nd, we’ve updated our policies, and you’ll receive a text message with a link when you book your next appointment. Of course, you're welcome to sign the policy form in person too. I know it’s a bit lengthy, but it’s really important that we’re all on the same page regarding our shared expectations.

Our new hours of operation are as follows:
- **Mondays**: 9 AM - 5 PM
- **Tuesdays**: 9 AM - 5:30 PM
- **Wednesdays, Thursdays, Fridays**: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM
- **Saturdays**: 9 AM - 5 PM

You will no longer need to call to book nail appointments! We are excited to offer walk-in services for dogs! Cats are welcome by appointment. Services include nails, ear cleaning, tooth brushing, paw trims, face trims, sanitary shaves, and express grooms (which includes everything listed plus brushing for a total of 15 minutes of grooming time) during the following hours:
- **Tuesdays**: 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM
- **Thursdays and Fridays**: 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM
- **Saturdays**: 9 AM - 4:30 PM

Happy Holidays! I have great news. We have a new addition to our grooming team. Meet Jennifer. She has completed her in person certification at Prestige Grooming School! She will be helping manage the front and grooming dogs in afternoons. We now have openings with all of us before Christmas! Please call or txt us at 780-750-4504. **Great News!**

Hard work has paid off! This Sunday, we will be relocating the salon to our new address at 4-412 Thickwood Blvd and closing my home business on Brett Drive. I am incredibly proud of this new space, which was built through the hard work and love of myself, my family, and friends. Uptown Pet Salon will continue to offer quality pet grooming services, founded on the principles of honesty, mindfulness, safety, and kindness.

With the Christmas rush approaching, we won’t be able to organize a grand opening until the new year. December will serve as our soft opening, allowing our staff to ease into new routines. I appreciate your continued patience as we work out any issues and train some new team members. Thank you!

Our Salon

Uptown Dog Pet Salon is a small professional pet grooming salon offering cat and dog grooming for all breeds. Alisa has been grooming the pets of Fort McMurray for 17 years. She started working at Whiska’s n Tails here in Fort McMurray at the age of 10. She was cleaning, training and assisting in the shop every weekend. By the age of 14 she was grooming after school and weekends. At 21 years old she opened her first shop and continued to do what she loves from her home. Now 11 years in business and continued education she is a Certified Advanced Groomer specializing in elderly or disabled pets and breed profile grooms. She also has completed her Non-sporting and Sporting Master Groomer Certificates. She is on her way to being the First Master Groomer Certified through the International Professional Groomers INC. here in Fort McMurray. Any Groomers working at Uptown Dog are certified and undergo personal training by Alisa. Call and let us know your pet needs and we can match your pet up with Alisa or our other groomers.
