It is with a very heavy heart that I announce the official closing of YMM Groom Room.
After a doctor’s appointment with my surgeon in Calgary and being placed on the waitlist for another surgery, I was told that if I continued grooming, I could risk permanent damage to my body.
After many tears, contemplation, and careful consideration, I have decided to prioritize my future and current health by taking the necessary steps to take care of myself.
While I am happy to announce that I will be starting the Social Work diploma program, it is with a heavy heart that I step back from grooming.
To my loyal clients who became friends, I hope you know that you carried me through one of the hardest chapters of my life and allowed me to look back on it with eternal gratitude for the opportunity to create YMM Groom Room.
Most people saw all the grooms I posted, but very few saw the hospital trips, pain, and flare-ups behind the scenes. I am grateful for the opportunity to return to school and take care of my body.
Geras Groom Tomb has agreed to take my clients with dogs under 50 lbs, and Uptown Dog Salon, Bark Avenue, and Paw & Spaw Grooming will be able to accommodate the larger breeds.
I am so grateful for the things I learned over the past few years, the people I met, and all the dogs I got to snuggle. Though my time back after surgery was short, the love I felt from all my clients will forever be remembered. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your support. 💛🌅
