Welcome to Kona & Oaks Decor. We are very excited to share our passion and ideas with you. Everything we create is handcrafted, and custom tailored.

Hello everyone! My name is Caitlin and I'm the co- founder and co-creator behind Kona & Oaks Handmade Decor with my husband Garrett. I wanted to let you in on a little about who we are and where we came from. Let's start with a little back story. Who we are: My husband Garrett and I moved to beautiful Fort McMurray just about 3 years ago now after commuting from Aldergrove, BC for about 2 years.

My husband works as a heavy equipment operator and we just couldn't handle being apart from each other anymore so we made the move! It was a hard move to say the least, leaving behind most of our friends and family, but being together was important to us. Garrett and I have always been the type to get our hands dirty and make something custom for ourselves if we couldn't find what we were looking for. (He's SUPER handy and has taught me tons!)
About the name: Kona was our beloved dog who was always underfoot whenever we were creating but unfortunately we lost him this March to old age. We want to keep his memory alive a little so decided to name the business after him. Oaks is the street we live on, where everything began for us.
