I screwed up my own holidays and now we have a rare opening on Wednesday, July 30th…now I’m looking to fill it with 1 more short-haired dog of any size!

✅ Short Hair Qualifications:
SHORT hair. SHORT.
Labs • Heelers • Pugs • Boxers • Pointers • Danes • Some short-coated Shepherds

❌ Short Hair Disqualifications:
- Goldens, Aussies, Collies
- Anything needing trimming or shaping
- Huskies, Akitas, Shibas (✨ your time is coming soon… stay tuned! ✨)

As you know, it is difficult to get in anywhere at this point in the summer. It doesn’t matter if you’re already on my cancellation list, if you’re already booked for August and just want to get in sooner, or if you’re new here—I want to get in as many short-haired dogs as I can July 30th.

This is a trial run to see if I can essentially bomb my existing schedule with new openings to make more room for some of the hairier dogs that have been patiently waiting on my cancellation list. It will also give me an idea of how effective hosting pop up events for one type of groom can help me get through said cancellation list more effectively so people aren’t waiting months to get in.E

I really do hate posting these, especially since I haven’t been on here for a while 😅 I promise I’ll post a palate cleanser or two later this week to make up for it. 🛁

🐾 NO-SHOW & CANCELLATION POLICY 🐾
Effective April 10, 2025

We love your pups, but missed appointments has big effects on small business. All we ask is for a bit of communication but with an influx of complete no shows in the past few weeks, it seems it’s time for a policy update/reminder.

No-Shows:
Miss your appointment without notice? That’s a $50 no-show fee per pet.
(I saved that spot just for you! If you’re not going to use it, thats fine, just let me know so i can give it to someone that will.)

Late Cancels:
Need to cancel? No problem! Just give us 24 hrs notice.
Less than that = $30 fee per pet (unless it’s a real emergency, I’m not a monster)

Deposits:
🐾 New mobile clients pay the travel fee up front
🐾 Missed your last appt? You’ll need a deposit to rebook
🐾 Regular clients in good standing = no deposit needed (we love you!)

Running Late?:
🐾 Dropping off: 10+ minutes late and we may need to reschedule = cancellation fee.
🐾 Picking up: I give a time estimate at drop off and at least 30min heads up before your dog is done. For every 30min I have your dog after their appointment is over, there is an additional $30 daycare fee. (We only offer private grooms so this one is big and can affect later appointments. 1h+ and you will also be paying for the next persons groom and you better pray its not a Newfie)

🐾 Repeat Offenders:
2+ no-shows or last-min cancels? We may ask for prepayment or pause bookings.

We know things come up, but a quick text or call helps us so much! Communication is key to avoid extra fees.

Contrary to my lack of advertising and what rumour might suggest, I am still very much in business 😅

You will probably continue to see a decline in advertising and I’ve stepped away from my own social media for the most part to work on other written projects for other projects and businesses. The Mutty Paw is still thriving with amazing clients. So many so that it’s sometimes more than I know what to do with! Aside from the flex days I set aside for rescheduling or last minute appointments, the 2025 schedule is full but I am still doing everything I can to get everyone I can in and will continue to do so even with my lack of posts for the foreseeable future.

Thank you so much for supporting me, I’ll still post when I have the creative capacity to do so, it’ll just be a lot fewer posts with a lot more time in between 🐾
