The lovely Artemis is still looking for her new family. She is a shy girl and takes a bit to trust new people, but once she does, she likes plenty of snuggles❣️ Artemis is used to living as an indoor kitty and would do well in a quiet apartment/condo home environment. She likes to be held, but only for a few mins at a time. Artemis is good with other 🐈, but nervous around 🐕 and children. She would be best suited to an adult home as loud noises do tend to frighten her. If you have patience and willingness to give Artemis the time she needs to adjust to her new home, come visit her at the shelter Tuesday through Thursday 2 to 4 PM!
Do You Recognize Me? This sweet gal was found in the ditch near the Ole Lake area headed towards BC as the finders made their way to FSJ. She has nerve damage to her arm and extensive muscle atrophy. The vets believe given the amount of muscle wasting that the injury is approximately 2 weeks old. Xrays show there is no fracture to the leg or joint. If you know where she belongs please PM us or leave a voicemail at 250-785-7722
This silly gal wanted to share her version of a snow angel 😇 with you! She could keep this up for hours I'm sure, but her human counterpart got cold 🥶 This girl is still looking for a home. She is nervous of traffic, loud noises as well as other dogs. She needs slow introductions in new spaces and literally trembles when she is meeting new people or animals. :( She is most comfortable as the only pet and definitely is used to quiet farm life. 🚜🚜She loves being outdoors, but is also very friendly and likes action once she is comfortable. If you are curious about this silly girl and how she may fit into your home complete an adoption matching questionnaire at www.adopt.spca.bc.ca
Yogi Bear the Railroad dog
Yogi Bear update! 😍 Many folks were monitoring this boy near the Railroad crossing in Montney. Thanks to a wonderful couple who allowed volunteers on their property and to the amazing rescue abilities of @Renata Debolt, this boy is safe and happy! He is doing well and has no problems being indoors. Although he does love to plow the snow with his face and feet. He also prefers to go to the very deepest snow to poop, but hey can you blame him ;) Yogi is now available for adoption and looking for a new home!

Tom's kittens
UPDATE: These four are now in our care. We are still looking for a foster placement. Vut they are safe and have had their first vaccine and check up.
Help! We are once again searching for a kitty foster without other cats (or a cat free zone) for the little ones in this video. 🥰 These kittens have herpies virus.🤧 It is contagious to other cats, although it is one of the less serious upper respiratory viruses that can afflict felines. Once their symptoms are under control they will live long, healthy lives. If you have a spare room, without carpet and a few weeks to offer some love ❤️ PM us for more details!
Suna and her beans
Suna and her little bundles wanted to share a tremendous THANK YOU to a very special lady❤️ Annie Wile of Home Comfort Pet Sitting took it upon herself to fundraise during our shelter closure. 😇Annie sent a simple letter to friends, clients and acquaintances from all over. She was able to secure a whopping EIGHTY donations ❤️🔥from businesses, caring citizens and fellow animal friends! We do not have permission to share all eighty donor names but wanted to thank them for their kind support of not only us but the amazing Annie as well! 🥳The donations raised have NEARLY COVERED our boarding expenses since our closure on Mar 11th! This has allowed us to continue to bring in animals in need....like Suna who was found heavily pregnant and abandoned on a local farmers property :( 💔 Thankfully the property owners were quick to alert us and Suna made it into foster before a marathon 10 hour labour to birth her baby boys! We are truly grateful for the outstanding support 🙏
🤩Sending out a huge thank you to Tiffany Wilson Pet Photography! Tiffany stopped by recently with her annual donation from Calander sales. She brought in an amazing $2388.25🤑🤑 Her handsome little helpers Declan and Kyran, also were in the giving spirit, offering up $50 and handed out teddy bears 🐻 to all the cats and dogs! What an amazing giving family!
Bus depot baby
ADOPTED!!!
UPDATE: two more kittens have been retrieved and brought to safety! Some mild frost bite to the ears and feet but they are safe :) We used a snake camera and cannot see any other felines under the C-can. The food has not been touched in more than 24 hrs. Hoping momma cat is somewhere safe!
Concerned citizens contacted us during the last cold🌬❄ snap about a small feline apparently living under a C-can in the bus depot yard. It's taken a bit of finessing but we finally caught this little one!🐱 Originally thought to be feral, he quickly became very friendly once safe and warm. He is about three months old and thankfully only has mild frost bite. There may possibly be other kittens in the area. If you spot any please let us know what color and location!
Just Annie and Slimer stopping in for snuggle time....are you sure you can resist them??..... #adoptdontshop #alltheloveathalftheprice #alltheloveathalftheprice
Kitten zoomies
UPDATE: I found a home today!
We are so surprised noone has applied for this little sauce pot! He is spunky, adventurous and always curious. He loves to snuggles and purrs instantly. 💕 He is sad here as his siblings have gone home and he really wants someone to play with! If you are looking for a fun addition to your furry companions come meet this little guy!
Jonesy from 77 Street
It's been a few months since Jonesy, our 77th street boy, was removed from a condemned home being demolished. He has been slow to come out of his shell but his foster recently sent us this kitty cam video. He is happiest at night and tends to be very active and playful under the cover of darkness. Jonesy is still very shy during the day but is slowly warming up to pets and other daily activities. He will be a great addition to an adult lifestyle, where they do not need an excess of physical contact from their feline, but enjoy and find his hunting prowess useful!
Squeaks on the mend!
Adopted!
You may recall this senior fellow that was pulled out of a vehicle carriage recently. He had a urinary blockage and required immediate vet care.😿 Well, he is doing so good! Back to his squeaky self and continuing to heal.😻 We have been unable to ID him as his tattoo is very blown out and the families we have contacted as possible guardians have not responded. He needs a bit more time to heal but will be ready for his retirement home soon.💕
Roger the Road Warrior
Watch carefully or you will miss Roger's great escape! Earlier this afternoon a Good Samaritan hit Roger as he darted across a busy city street :( Thankfully they were kind enough to bundle the dazed little guy up and brought him to us! 😊The North Peace Veterinary Clinic was able to assess his wounds and discovered the lucky fellow only had some road rash and superficial skin abrasions. So, we got the all clear to release him. But....not before he took a memorable chomp out of his vet team! Sorry😇 We consulted with the wildlife hotline (1-855-622-7722) and the confirmed that relocation to a more sub rural location would be safest. Hoping Roger lives a happier, less frightening and trauma filled life than his city experience!
