Just like his name, Soda is the biggest sweetheart. Getting to watch your pups grow is so special to me, they become like my own.🥹

Soda’s been part of the Royal Family since we first began in 2019. We’ve been so lucky so share Christmases and Halloweens, meals and snuggles, long walks and longer naps together — The Palace is never safer than when Soda is guarding and greeting every guest at the door. We love you, !

Hey, I’m Shalene—Queen of the Palace and the one who makes sure your pups are cared for like they’re my own. 👑

I started Barkingham Palace in January 2019 because I couldn’t bear the thought of my Shih Tzus being home alone while I worked. I wanted more time outside with them and thought, why not share that love with other people’s dogs too?

Here’s a little about me:
🐾 I’m completely Shih Tzu obsessed.
🐾 I know the best ice cleats for those icy dog walks.
🐾 I may or may not have more dog harnesses than outfits... oops. 😂
🐾 Pack walks are my jam—it’s the best way to keep tails wagging and paws moving! 🐾

This palace is more than just a place for dogs to stay—it’s a cozy home where dogs get the love and care they deserve, just like I’d want for my own. 💖

If you’re looking for a home-away-from-home (and some great pack walk adventures) for your dog, I’d love to welcome them to the palace!

It is with a heavy heart that we acknowledge the passing of our great King Nico.

For 15 years, he ruled with a furry fist, and oversaw all those who entered The Palace.

He used to spend his days peacefully next to his Queen Mika up until her passing in 2022. Since then, he spent his day joyously driving around in the work truck with dad. He was a good boy, who loved snuggles, naps, long walks to the fridge and most of all, loved sharing a piece of chicken or a long drive with dad.

He was the last in our royal bloodline, and we miss him so.
