Job description:
Taking dogs out for walks and play in our fenced in area. Cleaning boarding rooms, the dog school and outdoor chores. Dealing with customers when dropping off or picking up dogs.
Taking care of our dogs at my absence.
You should live within 30 minutes of our place and need a drivers license.

What a great CARO TRIAL weekend! Three days of great runs, , lots of new experiences and a very good time was had 🥰. Friday started at noon with Versatility, then for the first time ever a Working trial with over 170 exercises performed - took a bit longer than expected 🤭 but was a huge success.
Saturday was all day Novice Team and Novice with lots of new dogs giving it a first try, some of them even got their title already 🥰
Sunday was for Advanced Team and Excellent with many amazing runs, more titles and lots of happy faces 🙂
A huge Thank You goes to all of our awesome volunteers, we couldn’t do such a huge event without your support 😘.
Carpets are rolled up again until the fall but we will hopefully see you in our outdoor trials June 1st for working - yes it will be a separate trial this time😬 and June 8&9 for Rally 🏅

Helpful clarification about the solar eclipse and animals.

Hello friends!

The total solar eclipse is just around the corner, and just about everyone is ready to see the once in a lifetime event. We are seeing some mixed information about pet/wildlife safety.

Contrary to what some may read, the sun itself is not any more dangerous during the eclipse. The reason protective eye wear is recommended for humans (who wish to observe the eclipse) is because many of us will be staring directly at the sun that day, which is something we typically avoid.

For our pets, and outdoor wildlife, that day will be similar to any other day. Our pets don’t stare at the sun, so there is no need to keep them indoors on April 08 for any extended period of time. They may notice the change in temperature, but it is unlikely they will exhibit any unusual behaviour.

The eclipse can be more unsettling for birds. The dimming of the sky can mimic behaviour at dusk and during early storm formation, so some birds may demonstrate a wind-down behaviour and there may be less activity in the sky during the peak eclipse. Once the sky returns to normal, so does their behaviour.

If you are purchasing eclipse glasses, please make sure they meet these criteria. For additional information about the eclipse please see:

Birthday 🎂 for Q 💖

12-year old Fred was assisting in a private lesson today and was so excited to have a job. Afterwards I set up two exercises from CARO working which he never ever did before and he did so great and had a blast. And now he’s back on the couch with a big smile in his face 💖

I was just practicing for my scent work class with Q and figured I might as well have Phoenix work a bit with her nose and trying to figure out how to get that treat. Both did very well. Good mental stimulation ❤️

Our very first lesson of our brand new class “A bit of Everything” is in the books!! Today’s topic was Obstacles and Body Awareness 🥰. This is a class for our longtime Rally Obedience students, to “force” them to do something different with their dogs for a change. And guess what, they had a blast 💥 🐾🐾

In case you were wondering, these are Lily‘s sisters and mom are thriving here as well. They are, other than Lily, growing nicely and trying out their boundaries on each other. Tonight’s class was a hit. So much going on at the beach, so we spent a lot of time there and on the pier. A young guy came up with a skateboard and I asked him if he would go by multiple times.
