This week we are working on Recalls and introducing you to the sport of Rally.
Rally develops better teamwork between you and your dog. Just as importantly, it will sharpen your dogโs obedience skills and behaviour - at home and in public ๐
Here is an example of a beginner โnoviceโ Rally courseโฆ
We did manage one walk this week. Dogs should remain calm while another dog is passing. A difficult task but important when youโre out walking your dog ๐
Every dog owner wants their dogs to love other dogs and be well socialized, but teaching your dog to ignore distractions, including other dogs, is very important ๐
Long-lines are great for giving your dog more freedom whilst still having some control of what they are doing. Theyโre a safe and effective way to practice recall training before letting your dog off lead completely ๐
Congratulations to Stella and Scully for winning our โleave itโ challenge.
Lots of distractions tonight but the dogs were rockstars โญ๏ธ
