Hoping to prep for the FlatOut Dogs UKI Atlantic Cup? On Wednesday, June 11 at 7pm, we will be running a Stefanie Semkat standard agility course! Each team will get 1-2 turns in the ring (depending on how many folks sign up), 4 minutes per turn, $4 per turn. Payable by cash at the event!

This is a great opportunity for teams prepping for the event, and also teams-in-training or new to competition who are looking for a trial-like atmosphere where you can bring a toy in the ring, practice engagement, start-lines, etc.! However you use your 4-minutes is up to you and your teammate!

Tunnel Vision's May UKI Agility Trial ✅

Petr Pupík's courses did not disappoint! Thank you to all the competitors who came out to the event and braved the cold wet weather. There were so many great moments on the field this weekend! This was Tunnel Vision's biggest event yet and it was great to see so many competitors giving it their all and testing out their skills on such lovely courses.

Special shoutout to our non-competitor volunteers and everyone behind the scenes who makes these events possible. I have to mention three folks in particular: my father Kevin (field and event prep, crew, build, Tunnel Vision aesthetics, on-hand for Zoë's "oops I forgot..." or "DADDDDDD I need help" [do we ever out-grow this?]), my partner Zack (course builder/scribe/crew/event photographer/agility support partner extraordinaire), and my best friend Julia (course builder/timer/scribe/Tunnel Vision's biggest fan/behind the scenes scoring and building genius).

Thank you to our Judge Kim Marston for making the trip out East. It was great to meet you and your crew and I hope you enjoyed the Maritime weather and hospitality 🐻 🐾

Volunteers play a very important role in the Agility Trial experience. We can’t do it without volunteers! Non-competitor volunteers are so very appreciated by the competitors, as it allows them more time to warm-up, cool-down, and celebrate with their dogs between runs instead of hustling to return back to the field to volunteer.

Volunteer roles are explained at the link below and will also be explained at the trial. Volunteers will have ample time to ask questions and become comfortable with their role to ensure everyone has a great experience.

Ribbons are not simply for Titles. For many, they are a representation of an accomplishment. Of dedication, commitment, teamwork, and many memories of joy and perseverence … that culminated in a moment of success on that particular day at that particular time. But honestly, the moments I feel that level of joyful pride and happiness with my teammate, are rarely a title ribbon. Not that titles aren’t exciting… but the sum of your agility teamwork is a collection of beautiful tiny little moments. And sometimes when we reflect on how many goals we met in a season, we forget the tiny (but oh so huge) moments where our teamwork finally gelled; the moments that propelled us forward to be better humans for our dogs. I hope for all teams, that you never lose sight of why you play this game. Sometimes in the pursuit of bigger goals, we forget where we, and all those around us, started; the rush of that very first run of brilliant connection - the rush of your very first Q.

I had a blast designing and creating these myself. Handmade with loads of love and happy dances for those who take these home! 🩵💜
