The meaning of the name “Millie” is “gentle strength” (google it if you don’t believe me!). And wow does that ever suit her! Millie loves this game! Millie has a “can do” attitude and even when faced with “scary things”, she shows resilience and has overcome every challenge she has faced.
Millie reminds me of the power that finding your dog’s “thing” can bring to your relationship, your connection, and your bond. That training in sports extends so far beyond what happens on the field.
Magnificent Millie, you can do hard things! 😉 Love ya kid!!

I haven’t posted about Tunnel Vision’s very first agility class students all season. Over the next week, I will post a highlight reel of each team and one thing each team has taught me. It’s important for students to look back and see just how far they have come. There is always so much more to learn, but never forget to celebrate each moment of learning and growing!

This team has so much heart and so much love and support for one another. Envy is a sensitive soul, and her agility journey has had its own challenges. Envy’s teammate does a fantastic job of analyzing Envy’s mindset about each drill, and doing whatever it takes to make the game fun.
Envy has taught me many valuable lessons about what “motivation” really means in the context of sport.

Building a foundation of body awareness, coordination, and self control is key to injury prevention and protecting your dog’s confidence, especially if your dog is participating in sports at full speed. Mindful and confident body awareness may be just what your dog needs to propel their performance to the next level!
This workshop will include body awareness, coordination, and confidence building challenges, 3 movement puzzles, and take-home notes and ideas for implementing these themes into your daily training in your own home! Whether you are a body awareness pro, or just starting out, this workshop will provide lots of learning opportunities for all skill levels. The workshop offers a unique opportunity to learn, practice, and reward mindful movements of body control in the presence of other dogs in an outdoor setting. This workshop is geared toward dogs participating in sports such as agility, flyball, disc, trick, and those who enjoy living life in the fast lane!
