Dear Valued Clients,

We regret to inform you that due to circumstances beyond our control, Hometown Veterinary Hospital will no longer be able to offer weekend emergency services for the foreseeable future. As a result, any emergency calls made to our hospital over the weekend will be directed to Port City Emergency Veterinary Hospital for care.

Your pet's health is our top priority, and we need you to know that this decision was not made lightly. We deeply appreciate your patience and understanding while we navigate through this difficult situation. Rest assured, we are actively working towards a resolution which will allow us to resume our normal emergency coverage. Our weekday emergency coverage will stay the same during this time. We will aim to provide an update in the new year as the situation evolves.

Thank you for your continued trust in us – we remain committed to your pets’ well-being, and we will keep you informed as we work through these changes. As always in case your pet experiences an emergency, call our main number 506-450-4663 and you will be directed accordingly.

A kind hearted individual has brought in an intact brown and white tabby that has unfortunately passed away by the New Maryland highway near the Corbett Centre. He was not microchipped. If you are missing a brown and white tabby, please reach out to Hometown Vet at 506 450 4663.

This week is Veterinary Technician Appreciation week, but honestly this should be every single day of the year!
Here at Hometown, we may be bias, but we have some of the very best! Their compassion and dedication to caring for all of our pets is like no other.
There aren’t enough words to honour all of the vet techs out there and the amazing job they do day in and day out. So THANK YOU from all of the doctors you keep in line, the clients you educate, the animals you spend countless hours nursing back to health, and every heart you have touched. You’re truly amazing!
