Did you know: Dogs can't sweat to cool down like humans do?
Dogs can sweat a bit from their paw pads but they primarily regulate their body temperature by panting.
Heat stroke can happen in any dog, but dogs who are thick coated/northern breeds like huskies and brachycephalic (smushy face breeds like pugs, bulldogs, boxers, boston terriers, etc.) are at a higher risk of developing life threatening heat stroke.

Never leave your dog alone in a vehicle on a hot day.

Prevention is key and awareness of heat stroke signs early can save their life. 🐾
