When I first started making wood signs and wanted to expand into more than the traditional farmhouse style, I stumbled upon @thehouseoftimber ‘s page and was instantly mesmerized on that talent that Lizzy has. Before finding her page, I had never even heard of a scroll saw and seeing her completed logo signs set the bar so high for me. I was so eager to learn that I saved her posts, watched her stories to learn all the tips and tricks she’s shared, and bought her intro to scroll saw courses and spray painting tips and tricks to learn from the best in an industry I am so blessed to be a part of. Whenever she’d share her newest pieces I would always say “someday I wanna do that, and “when I grow up I want to make signs like Lizzy” 🤣. Being a woman in woodworking in a small town can be isolating sometimes, especially when there isn’t anyone to learn the ropes from or to show me how to use machinery. I just hope for the best and so far it’s worked out 😂
When my client reached out with this logo, I honestly didn’t think I could do it. I knew I wanted to try, but I didn’t think I’d be able to recreate it like I did- but to my surprise it turned out even better than I imagined. I’m so grateful and blessed my client had the trust and faith in me to give this logo life like it deserved 🙏🏽
I know this is a long post but I guess the point is to never limit yourself and to try the hard things because you’re fully capable of anything you set your mind to 💞
