We were delighted to partner with the Community Connections Housing Coalition and Placentia Age Friendly to sponsor their annual Community Supper on January 29th.

The need for affordable housing and financial support for residents to counter the rising cost of living in our community is significant, and the work the Community Housing association does to combat this is essential.

We are grateful for the opportunity to help support their great work and we trust that our contribution will make a difference in our community.

We wish to inform the public that temporary road closures will be in effect on Backland Road and Andrews Avenue to accommodate increased heavy equipment traffic. Clear signage will be in place to indicate where the closures begin. Affected area is outlined in image. For your safety, we kindly ask all members of the public to avoid the area during this time.

Port of Argentia is proud to partner with Boskalis, Mammoet, Pattern Energy, Integrated Logistics, and Argentia Freezers & Terminals/Harvey’s to contribute $18,500 to the Placentia Area Food Bank, helping to boost their annual Christmas Hamper campaign!

This donation will support the distribution of over 400 hampers to families across the communities from Ship Harbour to Branch. Together, we’re spreading holiday cheer and making a difference!
