We got the best little update on a 2 yr old we sold last fall.
It's sure a great feeling when your c**ts go to great home.
Laura's daughter was supposed to cool down "Boone" then started having lots of fun on him!
Love the mind on this c**t, it will be fun watching this c**t grown up with the Armstrong Family, we sure enjoyed him while we had him before we left for his new home.

Wade & Michelle Marshall at Marshall Performance Horses put a great 60 days on this gelding last year.

💥RQH GUNSHOT AND FAME💥

We are pretty proud of this 4 yr old mare "Ripple" and her jockey Oakley Cochrane today at the Rimbey jackpot winning the 2D!
She is starting to get things figured out and is doing so well making runs in new arenas. Oakley is doing such a great job jockeying!! 👏
This mare is also doing a great job tracking the breakaway sled.
We are so excited to keep watching Ripple with Cochrane's, they are doing an outstanding job with her!

Old Classy sure is looking good! 🥰
At the ripe age of 23 and as fat as ever.. grateful for these good old mares that are good keepers...built to last!
We are hoping 3 times a charm for getting a foal out of her. She still catches super easy but her first foal was so darn nice and hurt himself real bad as a yearling so we lost him then last year her foal was backwards so had to pull that and of course dead. It was a hard pull for the old girl, but she was waiting at the gate for her oats that evening. Got her checked and flushed and time to heal and boom caught again! I wish they were all like her!
She has one foal so far that is a dandy of a mare " Duzit Unleashed" from LDS Unleashed.
In 2019 at the Canadian Intercollegiate Rodeo Assoc, JACLYN PICKERELL and her snappy mare DUZIT
UNLEASHED ran the fastest time of the entire weekend.
Old Classy herself is broke very well and has had a few talented horsemen on her back and many kids.
I feel lucky to own her! Love her old bloodlines...Now if we could get a live healthy foal this year that would be amazing 🙌

"Boone" I really enjoyed having this 2yr old around.
This is the first baby we got from his dam "Roosters Oak Two" ~Mr Bay Rooster (Gallo Del Cielo x Pretty Ms Nine Four) x ~Res Oak Two ( Doc's Oak x Peppys Sun N San).
He sure has some size to him as a 2 yr old and we are super happy with the mind he has on him so far!
He left for his new home in Saskatchewan.

This gelding is out of Christie Rey... Kristina's awesome mare she used to run and Batman's Rock Ta Fame!

SOLD
If someone is looking for a winter project, I know of a nice mare that needs some guidance. She is super kind and gentle but is experiencing some issues at times.
Don't think it will take much to figure out what's bothering her, she is green broke.
She needs her teeth done and I would get her worked on just to cover your bases, she did get scared as a 2yr old, that may or may not be the issue.
Pm me if you want more info.
-Side note...every full sibling to her has been super nice and easy so I'm hopeful with some guidance she will be also.

Love this and so true!

Horses are a lot like 4th graders.

I know this because my wife, Bridget, is a school teacher, and over the years, I’ve gained a pretty good understanding of what it takes to make a great student-teacher relationship... and I’ve come to realize, in many ways, it’s not that much different from the horse-trainer relationship.

Horses, like students, may not always remember exactly what you taught them on a given day, but they remember how you made them feel.

They remember whether or not you encouraged them and made them feel confident about the things they have learned.

They remember if you took time to listen to them and to build a relationship with them.

They recognize our attitudes and behaviors, and they are easily influenced by the energy we put off—both positively and negatively.

Horses, like students, need space to make mistakes.

They don’t need to be micromanaged.

They don’t need to be harshly criticized when they get the wrong answer.

Instead, they need you to guide them in the right direction and be rewarded when they find the right answer.

Horses, like students, need us to take the time to help them develop their skills.

They need us to show patience and kindness.

They need us to have understanding and excellent communication.

They need us to be committed to their growth, no matter how slow or fast it may be.

Horses, like students, need us to understand that progress is not an overnight process, but rather a lifelong journey. And, while it may be a long journey, it sure is a rewarding one.

Boon (2yr old) is home, and we couldn't be more happy with what Wade & Michelle Marshall have done with him!
I should have taped Michelle riding him, but I was so impressed i just enjoyed it.
He's going to be such a nice gelding, lots of bone and substance to him.
I love his shoulder, and he's got a nice size foot.
We are contemplating keeping him but will sell him also. I think he would make a super nice head horse 😍
He's been rode down the road and to help gather bulls, super nice mind on him.
