Go Roxy Go🏁
A few seconds of video says 1000 words! Roxy enjoyed another cold laser treatment today, she loves our liver treats and walked the clinic hallway without assistance!
Here are some fast facts about cold laser:
-it helps maintain, relax and soothe muscles
-can improve nerve function
-promotes healing
-reduces scar tissue
-can help with chronic inflammation (idiopathic cystitis, IBS) as well as acute inflammation
-assists with skin rejuvenation
How are laser treatments administered?
During a treatment session, the handheld laser wand is slowly moved back and forth over the damaged tissue, producing a warm, pleasant sensation that most pets seem to enjoy and find relaxing. Sessions usually last 15 to 30 minutes, with the number of sessions and frequency of treatments dependent on the injury. Chronic conditions may be treated weekly, whereas surgical incisions and open wounds often require daily treatment.
Heartworm
Alert!!
Please be aware that there are active cases of Heartworm disease currently in our area.
Heartworm is spread by mosquito’s that are carrying a blood born parasitic worm called Dirofilaria Immitis. These worms mature in the blood stream and migrate to the heart causing significant life threatening disease and sometimes death. We highly recommend yearly testing and a monthly preventive to keep your pets safe and healthy from this disease. ❤️ In the short video below you can see the active worm in the center of the blood sample that we took from our patient today.
Happy Friday everyone!!!
If this doesn’t make your day nothing will.…Timothy was in today and needed to be sedated to have his cheek teeth trimmed. After recovering from surgery it is important that bunnies eat so Marissa offered him his favorite treat and boy did he enjoy it!! 🐰❤️🍌
What made you smile 😊today?
This definitely made our day…wait for it..
